This is the third consecutive year we are coming to Bansko and choosing specifically Regnum hotel given its high standards in many aspects: rooms are very spacious and clean, offering to a family two bathrooms and showers, very warm water and good Aircondition. I also appreciate the high speed WiFi as I had to work one of the day remotely and the line was very good and never broke. The breakfast s very rich and offering very diversified type of food for both healthy Keto people like me or for my kids that like to eat more sweet things. Everything was fresh including the chef in the kitchen that was ready to prepare all types of eggs / Omelets. There is also transportation every 15 min to the main gondola which is only 500 meter away but still very convenient. The bar in the hotel also offering great food and beverages from all types - everything was very delicious and fresh. When we left very early in the morning on the last day the hotel staff prepared for each of us a lunch box with very healthy choices that was a very nice gesture. The hotel also have collaboration with rental ski shop offering 10% discounts on equipment and ski school - something we were using every year. Lastly, the spa in the hotel was very welcoming every day after tiring ski day with wet and dry sauna and good jacuzzi and indoor pool- high class! Also , at the spa there is very good massage treatments for high quality both the rooms as well as the Masseur. Also my wife had birthday and as a surprise they gave us a cake to the room accompanied with a nice hand written note - so wonderful service and care: thank you so much Regnum hotel for your wonderful and warm hospitality for keeping your standards high at all times …...
Read moreWe booked the Regnum Apart Hotel which had advertised itself as a 4 star hotel, recently upgraded to a 5 star. Upon arriving early, we were hassled about wanting to check our luggage in the luggage room. Then, when I asked about a safety deposit box for our valuables I was told there was not one (even though this is advertised as an amenity in the room) and my purse was merely thrown behind the counter. After a day of skiing, we decided to use our "fully-stocked" kitchenette and bought food to cook for dinner. Upon returning to our room, we discovered that there were no pots and pans. After waiting an hour and a half, one was finally delivered. Additionally, there was no corkscrew in the room and we had to go down to the bar to have our wine opened. Then we tried to log onto the internet that we had to pay for, only to find out there were problems with the network. The IT guy came up to our room and my boyfriend had to show him the solution. On top of all of this, they had advertised that there were ski lockers on the lower ground floor but when we tried to use it at check-out to hold our stuff while skiing we were told the key for all of the lockers had gone missing. We then were forced to put our luggage back in the somewhat secure luggage room where we had to wait 30 minutes upon return for the bellboy with the key to the room (the other bellboy for some reason did not have a key) to retrieve our items. It was a comedy of errors from the start and I don't even think the hotel deserves a 4 star rating let alone the new 5 star rating it is...
Read moreThis hotel is a solid 3 star hotel, not 5 stars
We stayed in the Executive Suite with Mountain View, for our dates in January it was around $260/night (overpriced in my opinion, should be around $130-150)
PROS: -beautiful view of the mountains -they give you 1 complimentary bottle of water upon arrival -room is clean and has fridge, also has some silverware for you to use -house keeping is good in arranging our room and clothes
CONS: -hotel is very old, outdated and needs a renovation -around 12 mins walk to gondola, which seems near but is hard because of cold weather + if you're wearing ski boots -they are very cheap and give only 1 free bottle of water upon arrival, theres no more free water in the room after that -they dont have shampoo or conditioner, instead they combined everything into 1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash liquid -no disposable toothbrush -there is jacuzzi but water is not warm, its lukewarm and needs to be hotter -breakfast is 99% the same thing everyday and is composed of: cheeses, dried meats, fried frozen foods (cheese, squid, potatoes) -dinner is overpriced at €30/person and not worth it -most of the times, housekeeping did not clean our floor (we know this because we have some of our jacket fur on the floor and once we get back its still there) -you think you have access to Regnum Banya Thermal, but you have to pay around $10/person to get access
Would not recommend staying here as its overpriced for the value you get. I was talking to other people and they are happy with their stay at Kempinski (more expensive), Hotel...
