Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Blvd was far from satisfactory. The cleanliness was a major issue — both the toilet and bathtub were unpleasant and seemed quite unclean. The rooms had a bunk bed, but the top bunk sheets were covered in dust, which was very off-putting. It seemed like the areas that aren't often touched (like behind furniture) hadn't been cleaned in a while, as they were very dusty.
Another frustration was the WiFi — it only worked in the bathroom! It was nearly impossible to get a signal anywhere else in the room, including when lying in bed.

Read moreThe hotel is a little bit outside the city centre, across a bridge, but still within walking distance. We had a clean and convenient room with bathroom. We didn't take breakfast but instead we went to a Kaufland discount supermarket about 10 minutes walking from the hotel. There we bought croissants, yoghurt and fruit which we could eat in the common area on the ground level. There is also a coffee machine. The railway station is at the other side of town, about 50 minutes walking - that way we had the opportunity to make a city walk before even arriving at the hotel. Read moreI booked this room because i thought it was close to Plovdiv Central Station, its not - its rather on the other side of town. Due to that and that my train was late i first cold check in 11 pm. No problem there, when I arrived I asked if there were any places selling food at that hour close by. Everything closes relativ early in Plovdiv, but she guided me to a pizzaria and a drugstore that was open 24/7 normally. The room was large, the bed comfy and there was a tub.
