Very affordable for students! Also reasonable for adult tickets. Small museum, well curated and with good English translations on the main exhibits (limited on the temporary exhibits). Friendly and helpful staff explained the way to view the museum best. I did this in one hour but would say comfortably 1-2 hours should cover you if you do like to read and consider...

The museum is great, especially for history geeks or people genuinely interested in the period around the unification of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. As a small downside I can say that the museum is not exactly modern or interactive, but the extremely valuable (historically) and interesting exhibits, the historic location and the welcoming personnel make...

Hasn't changed in 10 years, no airconditioning even when it's 40°C (can't be good for the historical objects), the English translation is really poor or non-existent. It's nice to see once I guess if you want to learn about the unification and that time period, but go when...

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM! Did my all caps grab your attention? At the moment, this museum houses artifacts and things associated with the unification of Bulgaria. Perhaps interesting to Bulgarians, but not much other context for foreigners like myself.

Intéressant pour illustrer l'histoire de la region. Il serait rncore mieux, surtout pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas la langue bulgare d'ajouter des traductions à tout, voire de faire des résumés chronologiques, plus pédagogiques, utiles à tous les publics non feru de l'histoire locale. On a du mal à s'y retrouver, l'exposition n'étant pas toujours chronologique et ayant un penchant prononcé pour l'aspect militaire. Par ex. Guerres de qui contre qui, années,etc. J'ai bien aimé les informations sur les personnages représentés dans le tableau sur le congrès de Berlin en 1885.
