Gold Ring Vanished from Room!!
Take what you will from the information provided:
After checking in, we left the room for a walk and dinner, during which I had left my gold wedding ring on the bathroom sink. When we returned, we found a banana and balloon had been added to our room, but my ring had vanished.
We were gone between 5 PM and 8 PM. Upon checkout, we were told to speak to a specific staff member who oversees all similar cases. This staff member confirmed they entered the room during this time period to place a banana and balloon in our room while we were out. They also told us they would be the one conducting the investigation of the vanished ring. Later, they confirmed at the end of the investigation that they never found the ring and wished me luck in finding it elsewhere.
The sentimental value of the ring to me far outweighs its monetary worth, and this incident has unfortunately marred an otherwise enjoyable trip.
Follow-Up Explanation:
To ensure the ring was not simply misplaced, my husband asked maintenance to check the sink pipe. Maintenance confirmed that if the ring had fallen into the sink, it would have been retrievable at the base of the pipe, but nothing was found.
I have a very distinct memory of placing the ring on the sink counter as I did it in preparation for changing my baby’s diaper. I washed my hands with the provided soap and noticed soap had collected on my ring, so I washed it off and placed it on the black countertop of the sink before we left for dinner. When we returned, the ring had vanished, and there was a banana and balloon by the TV.

Upon first sight it looks like the old large Soviet hotels famous throughout Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Bloc of the USSR, but on closer inspection inside, one will see how beautifully it has been restored. With a large gleaming night-club area, shopping area that leads down to a large indoor pool with accompanying changing rooms, showers, and the indoor hot dry Sauna and wet Sauna and a salt sauna, and jacuzzi by the main pool. All are clean and well maintained. I had a massage in the therapy centre which was very good.
My room was on the 8th floor and was large, spacious and well appointed. Not sure about the winter motif in the summer months, but it was very comfortable, and, rarely in western hotels these days - a fully stocked mini bar!!! I didn't consume anything but the small fridge was handy.
Finally, I stupidly left my Kindle (electronic book) charging in the hotel, which I remembered about two hours later. I quickly email and messaged the hotel and arranged with them for DHL to courier my Kindle to the UK for me. The reception/reservation staff were very helpful and just emailed acknowledgement of my email saying my Kindle had arrived here ok. The reception staff tried very hard to get me a taxi on my last day calling several companies. Many times the reception staff were very helpful. I'd thoroughly...

I tavel quite a lot, I lived in 6 countries on 3 continents, but I have never - NEVER! - seen such NONSENSE!!!
When I arrived yesterday at 2pm (14:00), I could not get into the hotel because the DOOR WAS BLOCKED. I am not kidding! It was blocked!!! By mistake of course, but why should I care? I got in via restaurant!
Then when I get up to the room, I could not operate a safe, it was broken. They gave me another room, but when I started puting a code, maide litterally was looking above my shoulder. When she left, I tried to change the code, but it system did not work. As they explain, for one key you can have only one code. After they changed the key, safe stopped working at all. I was late for a meeting and just took all my valuables with me. I had no any other choice.
Breakfast is another nightmare. You can not put what you want on the plate by youself, the servant does it for you, but she DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! Then all dishes that have to be cooked, they cook somewhere inside and you have to wait for your scrambled eggs for ages. Coffee is separate hassle. I like mine with more milk than usual, but I can not make it myself, I have to ask the servant, but - remember? - she does not speak English.
Today I tried to use there spa and gym. I failed again. To use a swimming pool and spa YOU MAST HAVE A SWIMMING HAT. Do you usualy go to business trip with one of those? Me neither.
DO NOT...
