Hotel of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences — Hotel in Sofia City

It is very rude and dishonest to claim that what I wrote is not true. I extended my stay due to reasons beyond my control. You must have initiated countless FAKE positive reviews. My answers: 1. We removed the mattresses from the two beds on the dirty and dusty floor because a 100 kg person would immediately break the flimsy old beds. This way we've done you a favor so you don't have to fix old chipboards that we've already seen get broken and hammered more than once. 2. We have not intentionally left anything scattered except that we did not collect the breakfast waste from the table due to lack of time. You cannot deny that nothing was working, and you know it. We were in two different rooms apartment #10 – deluxe suite and room #14. In both places the internal phones did not work. We were told that there is no way to contact the front desk or call outside using this apparatuses. They simply do not work. The fridge had no knob to adjust the temperature and everything was freezing, its door was kicked shut. It was very old. They are no longer sold anywhere. The window frames were crumbling. The wallpaper on the walls too. The curtains on the windows looked like old rugs, a dirty, dark red color. They weren't even attached well to the old flimsy rods and kept falling off. The bed linen was also kind of a bad color and didn't look fresh. The pillows definitely hadn't been changed in a decade. They were matted and hard as rock. The old furniture in the living room was torn and with holes. The balcony was not cleaned and the surfaces were black, impossible for a person to touch. The bedside lamp on one of the beds didn't even have a socket, and on the other side there was no way two appliances could be turned on at once. The hotel is quite far from the city centre and at the reception they don't have any maps. You cannot rely on Google Maps either, because the bus stops are not shown. I only new of one bus that could take you to the centre (bus 404), which is still 15 minutes away from the hotel and takes about 20 minutes to get to the centre. ||||The room was nice, it had twin beds and it would have been a bit tight in there if there had actually been two people. Hot water can take a while to come if many people are staying at the hotel. ||||The hotel is overall nice and quite, the atmosphere is rather relaxing. Breakfast can be chosen between 6 different menus, almost all of them have eggs and cheese in them and none is what could be called a "sweet" breakfast. It was good and filling, but if there are many people ordering at the same time it can take a while to be served. We needed a hotel after arriving late at night from a flight. The location was convenient from the airport. The lobby staff were friendly, and parking was easy. The room was fine, however, it smelled quite badly from a damp/mildew smell, as if the bedding, pillows etc had not been dried properly. It was hard to sleep with such a strong smell, but perhaps we were unfortunate.
