i needed to stay in sofia for over a week, alone. i needed cheap accomodation, near the university sports hall.||||i rented a single room, with a single bed for one. very clean room, equipped with the basics - a desk, a tv, a bed, a bathroom with shower cabin, a cupboard and a minibar.||||the hotel is slightly outside the center - about a half an hour walk, but taxis are very cheap, so that is no problem. the breakfasts are quite boring - one gets served on a tray - 2-3 slices of bread, either tea or coffee, some jam, honey, ham, pseudo-cheeses, not great, quite boring, but enough to start the day.||||personnel is quite nice and helpful. one small problem in room 16 - hot water suddenly vanished presumably when others were taking showers. this only happened at popular times, say between 8-9 am, not if i took my morning shower later, so it is definitely linked to the overusage.||||in similar circumstances i would not hesitate to go...
Read moreI came here for several timesin the last 6 months. It is very easy to reach it as one of the main roads (Tsarigradsko shose) is next to the hotel. If you come from the airport, a taxi costs around 7-8 leva (10 leva with tips = 5 Euro) and the trip from airport lasts 10 min. From here the center is very close (5-10 min by Taxi) or you can walk 10-15min to the closest metro station. Regarding the hotel - it costs around 30 Eur per night (single). The rooms are clean and everyday they change the towels + refill shampoo. The rooms look a little bit old but are comfortable enough. Also, they have A/C, minibar (one cola/beer is 1.5 leva, a chocolate is 4 leva), heating over the winter season and wifi free in all room. The breakfast is similar everyday, but good enough: it has a coffee/tea, jam, honey, bread/croissants, a fruit, some ham. The hotel employees are very very friendly...

However breakfast only starts at 7h30, thats not good if you intend on heading off for the day earlier...no lunchbox. The rooms are tidy but I had a really bad, soft matress. Otherwise location is good, close to airport and to find somewhere to eat in the area is...
