Habana Angkor Hotel offers a unique poolside cigar-smoking experience in Siem Reap, blending Cuban charm with Cambodian hospitality. During my visit, I was impressed by the tranquil atmosphere, highlighted by a central pool surrounded by bungalows and a vibrant green bar adorned with the welcoming phrase, "asere que bolá." The cigar menu features a modest yet thoughtful selection, including the BAHIA Blu B500 Robusto ($14.50) and the Montecristo Petit Edmundo Tubos ($35). While the wooden humidor ensures adequate storage, it’s worth noting that the selection caters primarily to low to mid-range budgets.
The standout here is Yorlan Velazquez, the Cuban barman who crafts the finest Cuba Libre in the region and adds a personal touch with free salsa lessons. Guests have access to all essential tools—cutters, lighters, and ashtrays—ensuring an enjoyable smoking experience. The venue’s clientele is diverse, ranging from seasoned travelers to local food and beverage enthusiasts, fostering a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere.

Read moreThis hotel is a fantastic place to stay. It’s close to Pub Street (10 minutes by feet) and plenty of restaurants, but the area is calm and peaceful, making it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. There is always a security guard on the property. Also the hotel has a lovely pool with clean, refreshing water. There’s also a small bar where you can enjoy local Angkor beer, rum, whiskey or cocktails. The owner Eduardo is very kind and friendly, always making sure guests feel welcome. The two adorable dogs on the property make it feel even homier. The rooms are spotless and well-equipped with everything you need—comfortable beds, warm water, shampoos, tooth brushes, and even combs. You can also order breakfast and arrange transfers to the airport or bus station, which is super convenient. Overall, it’s a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place with great amenities. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend...
Read moreAwesome vibe, great location, superb friendly helpful staff.
I came here with my wife and my aunt for a weekend away from Phnom Penh. We didn’t want to leave here, so we extended an extra night.
It’s incredibly chilled, but right in the middle of Siem Reap. It’s hard to believe you’re so close to everything given how quiet and peaceful it is. It’s an oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is huge with a massive tub, a shower and beautifully designed. The TV in the room was even showing all the European / premier league football. The bar is well stocked and ridiculously cheap and right by the nicely sized pool which was super warm. We spent most of our time here at the hotel just chilling and relaxing. The place is also pet friendly, they were very accommodating with our small dog.
We will be back soon and always staying here when in Siem Reap.
Great...
