Cute little restaurant. It was empty when we visited, but it is the quiet season at the moment. We had spicy fried rice and banana blossom salad. I have dietary requirements and the staff were very helpful and insisted I try the banana blossom salad as it was very good. She said that she'd make it special for me without onions. The rice was okay, but the salad was very tasty! Definitely recommend for something a bit different. We also had vege spring rolls, which were thick and came with three in a serve. We usually order them as a starter and they have been different at every restaurant (different fillings and different casings). To drink we wanted Cambodian iced coffee (with condensed sweet milk), but they didn't have any, so we ordered a mango smoothie and a frozen gin and mint drink. It was basically a gin mojito blended with ice. They were both delicious and refreshing in the hot weather. Overall, the meals were on the smaller side compared to some local restaurants, but it was enough for me. I also appreciated the first page of their menu explaining how they support local farmers and use fresh natural ingredients. It's nice to see these things being considered. They also note that due to this, their prices aren't the cheapest and they don't want to encourage unsustainable farming practices. Despite this note, the prices were still very good. I think our total bill came to just under $10 USD for three meals and two drinks. Akun TRY ME! 😊🙏

Once you experience TRY ME, you will truly understand why it is so highly rated! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We even chose too many dishes with rice so they took the time to warn us, ultimately leading us to buy one dish less. This was HUGE to us, it clearly showed that they valued service over money and actually cared. Not even UK staff do this even though they are trained but government standards to give top customer service. The TRY ME special ice cocktails were incredible. The food was impeccable, especially for the price. At first we were sceptical of coming here, the price and reviews didn't add up. But after 6 weeks we decided to finally give it a "try" and we will definitely be going back several times. The price is similar to the local Khmer restaurant which respectfully makes nice food. TRY ME was something else all together. The atmosphere is great and the upstairs tables with a view are amazing, especially if you like people watching. One last thing, the menu was much smaller and specific. This is always a good sign that the restaurant has chosen quality over quantity. 🙂 P.S I wrote this review whilst being stuck inside due to being positive with Covid. We decided to order again through FoodPanda and wer very happy we did so. The quickest and most efficient delivery yet. The food was still warm and well packed which is rare. 🙂🙂

Try Me used to be our go-to spot in Siem Reap. We'd come here often for tasty local food that didn't break the bank, and they'd serve it up quickly. But our last visit left a bad taste. I ordered two dishes for myself. While eating my ginger chicken, I spotted two ants in my rice. Gross, right? One of the waiters noticed my close examination of the rice and my attempt to remove something with my spoon. He approached our table and asked, 'What happened?' I showed him the ants in the rice. His reaction surprised me. He didn't offer an apology or suggest replacing the rice. Instead, he took out a napkin, held it out for me to plop the ants onto, and then strolled away without saying a word. I lost my appetite for the ginger chicken and moved on to my second dish, which was amok. To my surprise, after a few bites, I noticed an ant in the rice again. Maybe that day they cooked a special Khmer ant-flavored rice? Lol. My mom ordered pad Thai but also lost her appetite and didn't finish her meal. Even when we paid, they didn't offer an apology or any compensation for the situation. We left disappointed and hungry, with doubts about their hygiene. We won't be back.

Definitely go here. Just, yeah. Absolutely wonderful food, very cheap (I guess a little cheaper than everywhere else around here), and a great environment. It's on a side street that isn't too busy, at least not during the day when I went. Inside, it's surprisingly quiet and calm, very laid back. I went to check on the menu outside and the server came up to me with a big smile. I asked for his recommendation and went with the Beef Lok Lak. Now most of what I've eaten in the week I've been in Cambodia has been Amok and Lok Lak. This was very good Lok Lak, and it was $4. Everything tasted so fresh and simple, and it was quickly made and well presented. The mixed fruit smoothie (I think mango, pineapple, dragon fruit, and banana) was excellent! I asked for another without thinking of the cost. When I was finished and went over to pay (I did see a card reader), the check was $5. So cheap!!! I gave them a sizeable tip as I had expected to pay much more. Their service was excellent as well.

I found Try Me restaurant five years ago and never quite forgot about it. It is one of those restaurants that made up an important part of my travel in Siem Reap. I went there almost every day. What can I say, its food was exceptional, and perhaps more important part is how hygienic the establishment was. After five years, I've returned. Try Me is as clean, tasty, and its staff and boss caring as ever. I would rank this restaurant as number 1 in Siem Reap. And I've visited nearly every restaurant in the Pub Street. I'm truly glad Try Me has been able to survive the devastation of Covid. I hope it remains a part of the wonderful experience of Siem Reap for many and many years to come. The first time I went to Try Me was in my thirties, this time I've visited in my forties, and I hope to visit it in my fifties with my wife and daughter. Obviously, I stongly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

This was our second visit to Siem Reap, our first visit we ate here twice a day for 10 days straight. We fell in love with the food and the family who owns and runs it. The food is amazing whether you choose local Kymer, Thai, Chinese, Italian, American, Etc: Their menu is very diverse, and we have never had a bad dish here. This was our second trip to Cambodia. We ate here every day for 14 days straight. We tried Kymer Grill once because TripAdvisor said they had the best Ribs in Siem Reap, I can tell you now this is not true. The Ribs here at Try Me were much better. I can't say anything bad about this restaurant, and I could go on for days about everything great. Make sure you try all the fresh fruit juices too!
