I stayed at Happy Heng Heang Guesthouse in Siem Reap for a couple of days and loved everything about it. The location was fantastic, just a short distance from Angkor Wat, making it very convenient. The room had a great air conditioner with ventilation directly in the ceiling light fixture. There was a beautiful image of Angkor on the bedspread, and interestingly, a vendor at Angkor later offered me a similar one for purchase, and they also rolled towels into the shape of Angkor Wat. My room was on the ground floor, and I had no issues. There was always hot water, and the room was simple, clean, and cozy. It also had a window, so it didn’t feel closed-in, and it was very quiet. Read moreIt's quite decent for the price. I had AC and private bathroom. It's a good location, you can walk by the river or walk further to the Pub Street and whatnot. The staff was friendly. I also rented a motorcycle to go around the temples. It was a good motorcycle, but the staff didn't ask me for any driver's license or anything. It was only when I was about to take off, I fumbled a bit, and one of them asked if I knew how to drive. Better rich than safe :) I had a ground-floor room by a narrow passage and I would hear the staff chatter for long periods or walk about dragging their slippers starting from even before 06:00.
