Well this was a first at a Sheraton Four Points property!
Prior to getting in the bed, I did a customary check of the linen (bed sheets). In between the pillows I found a bug there. After taking a photo of this and zooming into it, it looked like it had a bunch of tiny legs! Brought this to front desk, who said they would give this to the manager in the morning.
Now here comes the horrible customer service extended to us as a family....sadly NO alternative room was offered to us.
It was a very uncomfortable stay at this Sheraton property! I had no idea if these were bed bugs, so I slept in hopes this not be the case. Thank goodness it wasn't.
Several days later I received a response from the manager of the hotel who explained this was a carpet bug which may have gotten there by way of the ventilation system or something.
After a half dozen emails back and forward... They decided to refund me the cost of the room.
Terrible but more disappointing was the response from the front desk and the ultimate response from Management!
Will I return to this property? Possibly, after all I do enjoy staying at Four Points properties!
An update
I've updated from a 1 star rating to a 2 star. This only due to how Management came back with a response to my concern. As far as insisting on another room, I felt the person that the desk, would have seen the upset in my face and heard it in my voice. The simple response may I offer you a...
Read moreI was quite disappointed overall with my stay. The staff when I checked in were not particularly friendly - rather curt and with a tone of voice that I would not call welcoming. The food at Ric’s was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like it came frozen out of a cheap box. My waitress appeared to hate her job and clearly did not want to be there. She was short, did not check in, slow, and in my opinion did not care about the restaurant or her job what do ever. There were also dirty glasses sitting on the bar for a long time after we arrived. Note - I was one of three tables in the restaurant. It was not busy at all. I was beyond disappointed and ended up going to the gas station next door to get something to fill myself up. The room was mostly clean although I did notice some spots and areas that were missed by housekeeping. When catching the shuttle to the airport, I was waiting in the lobby to check in. A man that I assume was probably a manager walked by without acknowledging me and proceeded to speak to the staff in the back office without letting them know a guest was clearly waiting for service at the front desk. I had to put myself in view of the office door as essentially interrupt this manager in order to receive any kind of acknowledgment or service. At least this clerk was nice and seemed to appreciate her job. I will not be...
Read moreBooked a room through the phone number listed for the hotel. Apparently I spoke with a central booking agent off site. We specifically booked a pet friendly king suite only to show up and be told suites are not pet friendly, and that the booking agent had made a mistake. We had to downgrade to a regular king room. The A/C in the hallways felt like a meat freezer. We literally had to run from the elevator to our room because it was so cold (we regularly sleep with the windows open in winter so this is saying a lot). Even though the hotel has a restaurant on site they did not offer room service of any kind. There wasn't even a menu in the room to order from. I had to make two trips myself downstairs to get the menus and then pickup our own food. I've never seen any hotel with a restaurant not offer room service. The food was pretty good but not spectacular. Finally the beds were a little too firm for our taste and transmitted much more movement than a quality home mattress if that concerns you. The rooms were tidy but I've stayed in much nicer for the price. Would not recommend staying here for the no room service policy alone. Cannot continue to support these establishments cutting out customer service and keeping...
