DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL / LOCATION. NOT EVEN WORTH 1 ⭐️!!!!!!!

My boyfriend had been in town last week , arrived late and this hotel was the most closest and convenient for him at the time, since it had been so late in the evening. He had been with a friend , so they shared a room.

I had showed up to stay the night with him, at 12:15 AM , and was not even allowed to wait inside the lobby. The night time staff ( some man named June ( as what he said it was. Although was probably lying ) Had told me that I needed to get my boyfriend to come get me outside , before even entering the premises.

I had got ahold of him, we then got our OWN room so we didn’t have to share with his friend. THIS IS NOW 2 ROOMS IN TOTAL and we had continued our evening... not even 1 HOUR passes. And we can’t even sleep , can barley breath, because it had been so Warm and humid in our room.

I had gone downstairs to ask if they had a fan we could borrow ; his answer was “ sorry. I do not. Use your air conditioner. That’s what it’s there for”

Little do you know, that the air conditioners on the rooms, only face UP towards the ceiling. The THERMOSTAT On the WALL. Controls them. And you CANNOT make the air blow whichever way possible. ( you know like most Ir conditioners , you can control. Ya. No, not this one. )

I had then asked if we could switch rooms, sure enough he had the security guard, bring me to. Room to “check out” to see if it fit my standards or not. Sure enough it did, so we switched rooms.

The night went on , the next day arrives. We decide to stay another night.

My boyfriend had gone down and paid again for another night , and was charged the previous rate he had paid the night before which was $134.00 PLUS another damage deposit of $200.00 ?

KEEP IN MIND ALL WE DID WAS SWITCH ROOMS? AND CONTINUED OUR STAY.

the night went on, and he had checked his online banking - sure enough. He had paid $146.00 for the extra night ; $396.12 AND $412.90

THAT IS A TOTAL OF $955.02 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE !? THE RATE WAS $134.00 a night !? NO!?

So if you do the math , we had paid $402.00 for 3 NIGHTS IN THIS HOTEL - and if you Think about it - where does this other random $550.00 COME FROM !?!?

THEY HAD CHARGED HIM 2 EXTRA DAMAGE DEPOSITS AFTER ALREADY HAVING THE FIRST DAMAGE DEPOSIT ON FILE FROM THE FIRST ROOM HIM AND HIS FRIEND HAD BEEN STAYING IN !? KEEP IN MIND HIS FRIEND CHECKED OUT THE NEXT MORNING!?SO WE HAD 1 ROOM FOR 2 EXTRA NIGHTS!?!?!?

We went downstairs and discussed our mater and were treated with complete disrespect. We were NOT granted our money back. We had to WAIT for the hotel manager to arrive cause it was his “day off”

WE FINALLY GOT A REFUND .... GUESS HOW MUCH!?

$207.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT !?

WE HAD ENOUGH AND LEFT.

we had contacted head office and had sent out our receipts our proof our statements , and NOBODY IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS !!!!!!

THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM AND NOTHING BUT FILLED WITH DISRESPECT AND RUDE EMPLOYEES.

TRUST ME - DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF AND DO...

We were very pleased with our stay at Best Western Plus Calgary!! If you're looking for a nice hotel that's really close to the stampede grounds, Calgary Tower and all the amenities of downtown, then this is the perfect choice! We chose this hotel because I had an appointment at the Lifemark Sports Medicine Center and the hotel was less than 2 km away from there.

The hotel isn't big, but it is really nice. Our check in experience was fantastic. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman. While we were checking in he offered us menus to several different restaurants that were close by and delivered for free. Thanks to him, we ended up having a fantastic meal delivered to our room from Singapore Sam's. If you like Asian cuisine, I highly recommend ordering from Singapore Sam's. Our room was lovely. It wasn't overly big, but the perfect size for 2 people. It was very clean and visually appealing. We upgraded to a king bed with a 2 person whirlpool tub. The whirlpool tub was definitely worth the upgrade!!

Because of COVID restrictions the breakfast buffet was not available so we were offered a brown bag breakfast, which included a bottle of water, fruit and a pastry. We opted out of the brown bag breakfast and went to a restaurant instead. We went to Red's Diner downtown, which was only 2.3 km away from the hotel. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!! They specialize in breakfast and WOW we were not disappointed!

We have absolutely no complaints with our stay. The location was great, the room was beautiful and our meals...

The front desk people were extremely rude and harassed us due to all of the guests in our room are teenagers (18,16,14,11). When we first entered the hotel 2/4 were wearing a mask and the other two were attempting to cover their faces with shirts. We were condescendingly asked (do you guys not know there's a pandemic going on), a comment that would likely never be made to grown men but was followed with rude comments and behavior towards young, female guests. The lobby was completely free of guests and the concierge was masked as well as behind glass. Next, we decided to go to the pool and didn't wear masks, assuming we surely wouldn't be forced to wear masks whilst swimming, again no people anywhere around. Both concierge men came over towards us and raised their voices while threatening to kick us out of our room. Minutes late we were on our way back to our room to grab masks and were quietly talking amongst ourselves when we got yelled at again this time being asked "Do you think this is funny". The men are rude, arrogant, and we genuinely were trying to follow their rules ( wearing the masks they gave us at the front desk and returning to our room to get masks for the pool), we even tried to apologize the first time. We never talked back or had any reason for them to think that we were disrespectful. Nice rooms but not nice workers, especially if you are a...

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus on Macleod Trail, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The rooms were comfortable with nice décor and cozy beds, though the AC unit made a bit of noise. The shower was good, and the pool area was beautiful, featuring skylights and well-maintained facilities. The gym had some good equipment, including a Peloton bike, but the weights were quite outdated, probably from the 80s, and not really usable. The hot tub was a bit disappointing—it wasn't as hot as I'd prefer, and the jets lacked power. On the bright side, there was a shallow pool perfect for the kids. Breakfast was good, and the hotel offers a nice coffee machine at the entrance, where you can get cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and French vanilla. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Dan, who provided us with bottled water and some menus for local food options. We ordered food to be delivered directly to our room, which was a nice convenience. The hotel is situated in a great location, with easy access to downtown Calgary, and we were able to visit the GMC Stadium without any trouble. Parking is available both in the front and the back of the hotel, which was helpful. Overall, our stay was good, and I would recommend this hotel, especially for its convenient location and family-friendly amenities.

There are many great things about this hotel. We felt safe, and the rooms were clean. The TV swivels, there's a full-length mirror, a microwave, a mini fridge, and even an espresso machine in the lobby. The space was decently spacious! I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it. The big pool was a little cold at first, but once you're in, it warms up pretty quickly. There's also a kids' pool, which was warmer, and a hot tub. The breakfast here is amazing! We stayed for four nights, and each day, the options were different—sausage and eggs one day, bacon and cheesy eggs the next, and so on. There was plenty to choose from: waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, and more. Parking is a bit limited in the front, but there is additional parking available in the back.

A BWP is a BWP is as BWP. Although this one was way better than the one In Banff. Nice and easy check in, spacious room and so on. But, and that killed it for me: at first I was happy to have a room to the back and not on the front where a 4 lane street is running. Unfortunately right under my window was a very loud fan for some cooling system which was running until late at night. Without that I would have given 3 or four stars. But so I went tired to a (another, sorry Canada!) terrible breakfast. (I am under the impression that there is no Hotel in Canada serving a good breakfast, but that might be a problem of expectations 😂)
