We had Room #4 (ground level), furnished with two single beds (one on quite a high platform), and with a kitchenette, where we were able to prepare breakfast, and could have cooked other meals, if we had wanted to. The hotel is on the north side of the main road that links the east and west parts of Queen Charlotte Village, but traffic noise diminishes at night. If nobody is parked in front of the room, you get a nice view of the harbour. Next door, is a restaurant (Chinese-Canadian food). Across the road is a really good pub/restaurant, a small general store, and a liquor store. What really helped in our touring of Graham Island was that Gracie was able to rent us a van for two days. When I needed access to the internet for a minor emergency, Gracie was kind enough to let me use her computer. Just remember, you don't go to Haida Gwaii, expecting 5-star luxury hotels. Read moreGracie's is billed as a hotel but a better description would be that it is a bed and breakfast, without the breakfast! (Gracie is friendly and helpful but she doesn't cook!)||The rooms are clean and even have dishes in them. As I recall, there was a microwave oven in the bathroom! The front room on the second floor has a wonderful view. The rooms do not have private (en suite) bathrooms.||We rented rooms for the first night and then moved into the 2 bedroom apartment. It was clean and comforable, had everything that we needed and also had a great view of the water and the mountains. ||I remember thinking that all that was missing was a washer and dryer.
