Rider's Motor Inn — Hotel in Kamloops

...but that was in Uganda!!!||||There is so much that is wrong with this establishment that I will just point out the obvious:||1) free porn tv channel; they even give precise written directions on how to access it.||2) why provide an ironing board but no iron?||3) the AC wall unit is mounted in the corner of the room near the CEILING! One has to climb on a chair to turn it on.||4) the aforementioned stained upholstery.||5) a dark and dingy bathroom with no light in the bathtub area which, combined with a dark coloured shower curtain makes for a blind bathing experience.||6) curious choice of towel colour... puke orange.||7) toilets should just flush without needing me to hold the handle for 10 seconds.||||I could go on but you get the idea. I guess the only thing going for it is the low rate. And the fact that it is just off the TCH beside a McDonald's. They would not let us have a room on June 17, 2022 because my friend who needed the room didn't have a credit card, and they were angrily rude about it. I offered to use MY credit card for the security and he would pay cash for the room. The man at the desk said we can't do that. He refused to take cash from my friend and said he cannot have the room because the credit card was not in his name. However, I was not to be staying there. I was only helping my friend out with my card and would be staying at my son's house nearby where there was not enough room for my friend as well, who I had driven to Kamloops from 100 Mile due to a medical emergency procedure he'd had...

This is just a really modest place. It is a great value for your money if you need to lay your head down for the night. A good television, a microwave, fridge/freezer, a coffee maker.

There is an air conditioning unit to keep the room cool, a couch and bed, in the one room I stayed in.

The Manager is knowledgeable and assisted me with questions I had about my stay and how to get there from the Kamloops Airport. I recommend this place specifically because of the management.

Additionally, I'd like to add that it is right by a McDonald's, so it was nice being able to get food so quickly that I could walk there and...
