We were coming into Kindersley, at 9:30 at night, just looking for a comfortable place to have a sleep. Fog was bad, animals were all over the road, so for safety sake, we decided to get off the highway.||I looked at other places, and decided that this one would be ok just for a bed.||I called 10 minutes before arriving, and was assured that there was room at this place.||We had our toddlers with us, so we figured whatever we got was going to be ok just to sleep. ||We were greeted with the warmest welcome. Like being greeted home.|The lobby was so clean.||We were given a room on the main floor, which was SO easy with the kids, to pack and unpack our car. We parked right in front of our room!||We walked into a SPOTLESS room. I had no worries about letting the kids explore the room, because there was no dirt or grime anywhere.||I didn't have change for snacks in the vending machine, so went to the front desk and was given change.||THE BED- so comfortable. And the pillows and linens smelled so fresh. ||How they got hotel towels to be so white and SO SOFT I will never know. The bathroom was small, but nice to have it so clean, and the sink outside the bathroom, so we could brush teeth while someone used the shower. ||We appreciated cable tv (Treehouse channel, yay!) and the flat screen tv. Well, the kids appreciated the tv. Ha!||Being close to the highway, the room was actually quite quiet.||Our only complaint was being a Sunday night/Monday morning, guys starting their trucks to go to work was a bit noisy. But the 5 minutes of half ton trucks was really nothing that would deter us.||Being a bit dated didn't deter from the fact that the room was polished. The towels and bed linens and room furnishings were well kept and cared for.||PLUS the four of us stayed for $100!!! Awesome!||This place was a random stop, and we feel like we found a little gem. We are looking forward to staying here...
Read moreI grew up close to Vancouver, BC and currently live in Edmonton. I have travelled extensively all over the Pacific Coast/Western Canada and have stayed in too many hotel rooms to even begin counting.
I had not planned on going to Saskatchewan and only had a cash deposit. Nova Inn was the first place I called and asked if they take cash deposits and to my surprise, the girl on the phone said yes (and was $50 less than what it is normally.)
I booked my room and check in was a fairly straightforward process. When I asked the girl behind the counter if she knew what time the Dollarama up the road closed at she said she didn't but looked it up for me (sounds dumb but it's one less thing my mom brain has to remember to do.)
The room was a little dated but it had all the basics (tv/coffee pot/cable/fridge/microwave). The room also had a secondary "patio" door and I was able to park my car literally right on the other side which made loading/unloading a breeze.
The bar fridge door had some issues staying closed but it was nothing that putting a chair in front of it didn't fix. The fridge also got nice and cold which was nice.
The bathtub faucet handles were put on backwards (hot was actually cold and vice versa) and was kind of confusing to turn on/off. Plenty of hot water though.
Beds were comfy (my little one was out like a light in less than a couple minutes).
They went over the top with their customer service when I came to the front and explained that I was running late and asked if I could have a later check out. They said yes and that I had until before 3pm!!!! Wow!! I've never had that at any other hotel I've been to.
Overall each of the staff that I dealt with were exceptionally kind and made my stay so much easier. Thank you Nova Inn! If I ever find myself in that area again, I'll be sure to stay...
Read moreWe stayed here on a trip recently and booked online hoping for the best. From the moment we entered I knew I had chosen well. The staff at the front desk was the best service person I had come across in years. The rooms are bright the beds comfortable and everything was super clean. The next morning a different person was at the front desk, but was equally as professional, courteous and friendly. We continued to a funeral the next day, and began our trip back home. I had booked a room in Wainwright that night. When we checked in it was filthy, with holes in the walls. We refused to stay and drove an extra 2 hours back to the Nova. We were again greeted by yet another front desk clerk who made sure my elderly Mom's room was close to ours and was friendly and attentive to us as guests even at that late hour. Over the 2 nights we interacted with 4 front desk staff and 2 of the cleaning staff and we were very impressed by all 6 and their customer service, so much so that I am writing this review, something that I never do but will...
