Stayed at the best Weston plus in Atherly. Booked my room with Ben than after confirming I was told the bar and restaurant were closed. Which was a disappointment but we decided we would just go across town for the night for dinner. We arrived around 4pm and we were greeted by the nicest lady. We actually stood and spoke to her for close to a hour. That’s the only reason for the 3 stars for service. I wish I could remember her name but unfortunately I can’t place it. We went upstairs to our room 242. We payed for the jetted tubbed room. We went out for the night and got back around 10pm. After a night out we decided to use the jetted tub. As we started the water I realized the jets looked very gross. My husband said thought maybe it was black silicone I was seeing. So he put his finger on the jet and a bunch of mold was on his finger. Very very unhygienic and nasty. We cleaned the jets up as best as we could with the towels in the room. My husband went downstairs around 10:30pm to show the very nice lady at the counter. My husband waited till the other guest left the counter and privately told her about the situation. She agreed that it was gross and directed my husband to a email to send it all too, as well as told my husband to speak to Ben at check out because we should be getting some kind of discount for not using the tub. In the morning we came down to speak to Ben about the situation. He just gave us the debit machine and was more worried about us paying. My husband asked if there was a discount we could have for the tub situation. His words were “unfortunately there will be no discount for the room” We were not very happy paying around $240 for an unusable jacuzzi tub. My husband asked for the owners contact info but all we got was his name. Honestly if this had of just been dealt with in a respectful manner this morning then we wouldn’t have even made the review. But this is just wrong on so many levels. We would really appreciate a call from the owner and for this situation to be properly handled. I would like to just reconfirm that the lady that was working nights last night was the most kindest, caring, thoughtful and respectful lady. This has absolutely nothing to do with her.

I only use the Bestwestern hotels for my trips around Ontario and for Montreal , they are mostly clean , nice staff , but this one I had another experience for the Bestwestern: First the lady in the reception was extremely rude for no reason. Second when I got to the room I found this water bottle beside the coffee maker, I thought it is a complementary water bottle, then I checked it I found it is used one, also I found a blue ballon in the coffee led 🤷🏽 , of course this reflects how cleaning the room works, I just hope I am not bringing bugs to my home after this night. Third, I really was not planning to leave a bad review on here as I like these hotels brand, till at 9:10 am when a lady opened the door of my room without any knocking, she said “ oh he is still sleeping, laughed and left” then I said I must take action. I was planning to rest in the hotel till 12 noon as I arrived to the hotel at 9 pm , but after this I couldn’t stay and checked out, I can say This is the worst hotel stay experience I ever had.

Update: I've just been told that the breakfast has not been included for some months, and they seem to be offering a half-assed free breakfast this weekend because of all the guests who booked months ago with the promise of a complimentary breakfast. So your $340/night won't get you breakfast in the future! Original review: At the prices you pay to stay here ($340 a night on festival weekend), you'd expect the breakfast buffet to include drinks, but you'd be wrong. Coffee, tea, and juices are now charged for. They have cereal but you have to pay for milk! This used to be a nice hotel, but the ownership clearly holds their customers in contempt. Stay away.

We came to this location to see Lee Brice in concert at Casino Rama. We had a long snowy drive up, and I was excited to check in and relax. When we arrived, Paul was checking in 2 couples ahead of us. He got frustrated that the second couple hadn't gotten their ID & credit card ready to check in, that they should have paid attention to the speil he provided to the couple ahead of them. When he started to explain the shuttle service, the couples didn't understand because again they hadn't listened to the speil ahead of them... When it was our turn to check in, I didn't want to be barrated over my listening skills, had my ID prepared, credit card prepared... I was thanked for my loyalty as a best western member, but also told that our room location was so that the front desk could keep an eye on trouble makers? Excuse me? We are a married 26 yr old couple, who don't drink or do drugs, chose to take the shuttle only because of the weather, and don't gamble. Literally decided to stay at this hotel as a night away from our very busy household. We had our overnight babysitters. After all of this... How were we to tell Paul we didn't like this room location... I booked this room months ago, so excited for our little trip away, and we were still put beside a busy exit, ice machine, vending machines, a hallway where all the 3am pizza delivery guys had to walk by talking on their phones, the drunken groups passing by at 12 & 2 am.... The room itself was clean, the bed and pillows were just ok. Water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. If you can sleep through anything, I'd suggest room 116. If you're a light sleeper, or can be woken up to someone speaking in a normal tone of voice... I'd suggest another hotel, as a loyalty member I expected a bit more.. the couple ahead of us, who Paul asked how long ago they booked their room and they answered only 2 days ago... We're on the fourth floor, and we're going to the same concert... Not told they were...

I have stayed at this hotel before back in 2023 - It was fantastic.

I would like to shout out the fantastic customer service from Donna, Jerry, Bill, Nicole and Lindsay. These people are gems and the upper management needs to know that.

I recently stayed for a week while having car trouble, and I was not very happy with my stay. Most of my issues were with Ben the front desk manager. Although he is friendly, I often left the conversation confused or not satisfied.

My main issue is that room 446 had bed bugs and I brought this to his attention and showed him the bed bug bites on myself and he said to me, oh I'm sorry and thank you for bringing that to my attention. That was the end of the conversation, no talk of moving me out of the room or anything. I left feeling uncertain - I returned back and spoke to Nicole who directed him to move me and put the room out of service. I don't understand why he didn't do that in the first place. I spent $35 dollars in laundry and the afternoon did the best they could to reduce the day rate for that day to compensate me.

When I checked out I paid by debit and noticed almost a week later there was still a hold on my credit card, when I called Bill informed me that when Ben checked me out he did not release the authorization on my credit card. If I hadn't have called I believe there still would have been a hold for some time.

Anyways, again there are multiple people who work there as I mentioned who are absolute stars. I feel as though I should have been compensated a bit more for the bed bug bites I endured but I believe that will be up to Simon to decide.

It would be nice to hear back.

Thank you again to the outstanding people who do work for the hotel, you guys are awesome and I will always look forward to any...
