Gables Motel — Hotel in Radium Hot Springs

Spent one night at Gables on our trip through the Rockies. I can say without a doubt that staying here was one of the best lodging choices I've ever made. Tom was absolutely fantastic. I have travelled a LOT and checking in with Tom was by far the single best experience I have ever had checking in. He was friendly and insanely helpful as well as funny and personable. I will literally come back here next time we are in town just because Tom was so fun to work with. He gave us recommendations on where to eat, helped us get some ice for the baby's milk after hours, and gave us tips on exploring the area. If you are Tom's boss and you're reading this, give that man a raise and make him the employee of the year, he deserves it.

The rooms were very simple and somewhat dated, but very clean and the AC worked well. Bed was very comfortable and we slept very, very well.

In all it was a fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and stay here if you are in Radium. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to...

I can't say enough about this place! Tom goes above and beyond in his initial welcome, and even escorts you to your room to show you where everything is, and how to use the tv remotes. There was a Keurig in my room, complete with Pacific Bold Roast, and cream in the fridge! You can buy Hot Springs passes from him at the front desk, and he is amenable to supplying towels if you need them. Lovely part is that the hot springs are just a hop, skip and a jump up the hill from the motel. Rooms were clean and smelled great. I was in a pet friendly room, and I never would have known that dogs may have been in there previously. The BED WAS INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE, and when I steamed up the bathroom mirror, there was a message that read, "Best sleep ever, thanks for the holiday ❤️", so obviously someone else has felt the same way. I have an Endy bed at home, and this mattress was just as great! I will be staying here...

When I rolled up on my motorcycle to tut Gables Motel after 5pm on a Saturday at 22 degrees Celsius and asked if there was a chance there was a room available…. I anticipated being told “no” and sent to try numerous other facilities Richard introduced himself - said I had a choice of the last two rooms he had today! The rate is logical - the Motel os an older “Radium Original” but it’s exceptionally well maintained & the rooms are spotlessly clean! When was the last time you stayed in a motel and had two Werther Candies presented on your queen size bed?! Right?!?

Then — add to the list a multi port device charger provided! No need to unplug an alarm clock or coffee maker to charge my phone ipad headset…!!
