Screamers is described as a place where you can "walk back in time." It has a retro feel with a jukebox playing '50s music and vinyl stools. It's a fun and nostalgic environment that aims to be a destination for the community, and it's even available to rent for small events like birthday parties.
Menu Highlights: While the name is Screamers Ice Cream, they offer a wide variety of treats. Their ice cream menu features a range of flavors, including unique options and classics. Some of the notable flavors mentioned are:

For Adults: Algonquin Canoe (vanilla with maple and chocolate ripples and canoe-shaped chocolate).
Other options: They also serve traditional scoops, banana splits, floats, milkshakes, and "Screamers" (the name of a specific treat they offer).
Beyond Ice Cream: Screamers is also a cafe that offers more than just dessert. They have a breakfast and lunch catering service and even offer an "affogato" (a scoop of ice cream with a shot of espresso). Read moreScreamers is located right after entering Radium Hot Springs by the roundabout.
There are 3 or 4 stalls right in front of the store along with a bunch more close by.
As soon as you enter you'll be greeted with a vintage look right down to a neon jukebox but everything is spotless and clean.
They had about 26 different ice cream flavor to include 1 that was sugar free. Prices are reasonable at 6 bucks for a single scoop in a regular cone and another 1.25 for a waffle cone.
I had espresso flake and black raspberry cheesecake. The espresso flake was amazingly good with nice deep coffee flavor. The black raspberry cheesecake was really good as well but our scoop didn't have much of the black raspberry flavor so that wasn't ideal...still very tasty for the bits that did have it.
Service was great. Staff didn't keep housing us as we mulled over the large selection of flavors and was quick to help once we motioned that we were ready.
They have a vintage themed seating area as well as some covered outdoor seats.
I've had Stolen Church, Cows and Screamers. The espresso flake I got is the BEST I've had from any of them. Not saying the others aren't good I guess you'll just have try...
Read moreVery nice place since the whole renovation, I went there the other morning and got a “mocha”, a cinnamon bun type Pastry, and a breakfast bowl. I was the only one there once I had ordered and waiting for longer than I prefer for what the food to be disappointing and the mocha to be nothing more than a weak latte with a bit of cocoa powder on top. The pastry was flavourful but was cold and very dense. The breakfast bowl potatoes were barely heated and I could taste the freezer burn on them, the poached eggs that I asked to be medium were just cooked enough to hold together and the egg white weren’t even cooked through which sucks because I’m pregnant and can’t have raw egg, and the hollandaise sauce along with everything overall was bland and had little to no seasoning. Unfortunately I was already back in the road when I realized how horrible everything was and could go back for a refund. I’ve been there a lot for ice cream in the summer and will only be going back for ice cream in the future. Nothing else is worth it...
