Absolutely awful treatment when here, was told it was service dog friendly and nihb booked us here cause we had an important appointment in the morning. Myself, along with my child and his service dog had to sleep out in our vehicle (rest of the family was up in the room), because they repeatedly told us it was not pet friendly at all, including service animals, upon telling them nihb booked this room for us because it was service dog friendly (and one of the only places they can book for us being status), they proceeded to keep telling us no. I sat in my vehicle and watched as other dogs entered the hotel and when I went back in I asked to speak to a manager about it I was told no, that the manager is busy, and that there's nothing they could do, and that it was "my problem". I was on the verge of tears at 6am, tired and freezing, we tried to come up to the room to warm up for a while and maybe lay down on a bed for a moment and again told to leave without again being able to talk to a manager. My child was forced to sleep out in a vehicle with his service dog. They kept insisting there were no other dogs in the hotel when I physically watched other dogs enter. Being gaslit by the staff was a whole other level. And then having the story switched that the dog I saw was a special kind of service dog. A SERVICE DOG IS A SERVICE DOG!
The service in the restaurant was also awful, the sign said "please wait to be seated" and we stood there while the guy just stared at us, after a while of just standing there being stared at like we're aliens while other staff walked past us I asked "can we get a table please?" And he goes "oh you want a table?" Like, I'm not standing here by the sign, at the restaurant entrance, for fun. They rolled their eyes and mumbled when the baby knocked over a drink, they charged my child the adult price because he's a tall boy and "looks older than ten" I said "well, he's ten" and they didn't bother changing it on the bill. I didn't want to argue about it, so I let it be. (makes me wonder if I could get him an sgi card for when we're out like this đ definitely not the first time but it felt very rude this time around, other people can laugh about the mistake, not challenge it) we were made to feel very uncomfortable while trying to have supper. All in all. A very awful experience. And I'll be sure to let nihb know as well. They paid for a room that half the people couldn't use and were made to sleep in the vehicle in the parking lot. It was a...
Read moreI am writing this review at 3:03AM as I cannot sleep due to the vast amount of activity at this location. I have been kept awake since about 12:20AM due to the "activities" here.
I have just completed a second check of my vehicle which had the alarm set off...appears to be still secure. Security was in the hotel lobby, nothing they can do to ensure vehicle security......perhaps they could make their presence known outside, where the "action" is.
Large amount of noise in the hotel, people coming out of the elevator, the ones making the noise, as I was talking to security. Again, there was nothing that could be done as they were guests??? Lots of noise outside the hotel which was keeping me awake, along with the activities inside.........bar located in hotel.
Police paddy wagon was located onsite when I went to check vehicle again after vehicle alarm was set off for the second time. Appeared to be "interacting " with the locals. This area of Saskatoon appears to be one of the seedier areas of the city, no wonder the rates here are lower than surrounding properties.......take this with a grain of salt......
Asked for a room with one queen bed when I made the reservation, was told that that is what would be available. Ended up in a room with 2 queens instead, got here too late, I was told by the front desk when I asked. Room service brought food but no utensils?? At the prices charged they are certainly making money on this aspect of the business.
3:20 AM ....time to shower and go.....I do not believe I will be having this experience again.....and most certainly not at...
Read moreI don't think I have ever had a worse experience with a business before. I was at an indoor slow pitch tournament there at the beginning of February and got seriously hurt. I was tracking a high foul ball and looking up and ran into a piece of equipment that was in the area of play. It was not fenced in, it was not behind tables, nor was it parked in a garage. And I will be honest, I'm a very slow runner, so for me to have been able to catch the ball means it was in the area of play.
After having to go get looked at for stitches, getting an x-ray and having to take time off work to recover, I reached out to the golf dome facilitator. I was ghosted for 2 weeks, so I followed up with the main hotel email. I initially reached out to them in private since all I was wanting was for them to mention they will improve their facility and not leave equipment in the play area. This was the emailed response I got: "We appreciate your concerns and your feedback in terms of your experience, and to be clear; the golf cart
That picks up the golf balls on the field was not located or parked in the field of play within the golf dome." This is copied and pasted. I have never felt so disrespected by a business and am now posting publicly. They disregarded my injury so I want others who use this venue to know they will be treated poorly too when this inevitably happens again. I'm not sure if they are trying to accuse me of lying or they are trying to shirk their responsibilities of providing a safe venue.
I will never go to this...
