Not the store it used to be that’s for sure, recently purchased 2 Palliser leather power-reclining sofas costing over $4000.00. They both had issues right from delivery with the reclining mechanisms and the footrests overlapping when reclined. Called the store and was asked to send pictures, which I did, not sure how you determine what the issues are in a picture without close examination of the furniture. The response time and communication from the store from that point was nothing short of non-existent, I had to keep calling and emailing to find out what was going on. After several weeks I got a call that the new mechanism was in and I could pick it up, and that it was heavy!!! Brand new sofas under warranty and you want me to pick the part up and take it home and fix it myself, are you kidding me!!! If you bought a new car and only had it a week and the transmission went do you think the dealership would call you and say your new transmission was in and you should come pick it up to install it yourself. It seemed like a real effort for them to write up a warranty work order and come pick it up to fix it. It’s been a week since it was picked up and I still have not had any communication from the store if it has been fixed, not great service but they sure do take your money quickly. If I didn’t need the sofas right away I would have definitely purchased at Palliser Rooms/EQ3 Furniture as they have amazing customer service but unfortunately everything needs to be ordered in, in hindsight it probably would have been a better decision to order from...
Read moreWe have made two purchases in the last few months (some living room chairs and a dining room table). In general, is was a positive experience. We enjoyed working with the staff who took time to show us many products and talk us through numerous options. The quality of their products is very high and we appreciate being able to buy directly from the warehouse (and not have to wait four to six months as in other stores).
There is a problem, however, in bringing the sale to a successful completion. In both cases the furniture arrived with minor damages. In the case of the chairs, one of the legs was missing it’s plastic floor guard even though the nail that was to hold it in place was there. This resulted in scratches to our floor. When we returned to the store we were given some felt floor guards and told that we should have replaced the plastic ones right away. That was that!
We have now received our dining room table. It’s a lovely glass table with a polished nickel base. Despite being brand new, however, the base is scratched. Given that the boys who delivered the product brought it off the truck with no protective wrapping, there is little mystery where the scratches came from. Evidently, our only options are to return the table for a complete refund, exchange it for one of the even worse scratched floor models, or process a warranty claim. Hardly ideal for something brand new.

Our salesperson Kim, was fantastic, not only was she personable, but superior in her knowledge when it came to layout, design, and interior decorating. My wife and I had been to two other furniture stores prior to our stop to Furniture World. We had been looking for a dining table to accommodate guests, ourselves and 7 month old daughter, as well as our parents who aren't the most mobile. Upon description of our interest, Kim was QUICK to present 3-4 styles of tables that she thought would suit our living area. Once we showed her a picture of our kitchen area, and dimensions she was quick to make suggestive points on some of the tables we were looking at. She and the team at Furniture World accomodated our baby's car seat in the back behind the counter, as well as gave us fantastic service. No one was pushy, like most salespeople I've experienced. But, if all the salespeople had the knowledge and perception that Kim had they'd be very successful. To say the least, we looked no further, and bought a beautiful table from this place. It's now our third big purchase in the last 4 years from FW! We more than likely won't waste our time going to any other places prior, but will drive straight to furniture world!
