I went climbing cause I didn't feel like doing my weight lifting training again cause I was stuck at a plateau. Climbed at this place once, loved it. Got a three month membership, and basically climbed every day. It's sooooo much more fun than traditional gym training. Been going 2 years, and now one of the highlights of my week is when the staff set new problems for me to climb. Love this place. The staff are knowledgeable and fun people, the people who tend to make up the community here are welcoming and interesting, and the climbing itself is rewarding af. Cannot recommend this place...
Read moreI've enjoyed wall climbing at camp before and I was partially belay trained. With that in mind, I found that there we some significant gaps in how they presented the safety related information to us. For example, I had to adjust my boyfriend's harness as he had never climbed before and the harness was not properly explained.
I also felt like an outsider. I was very much aware of the fact that I was not one of the other climbers. This, of course could be seen as a positive to regulars who would feel like they had a community of like minded people. I just did not find...
Read moreA friend invited me here, came in right when it opened on Wed (10:00AM) and was greeted by two employees asking me all sorts of questions like "Have you been here before" etc. Had to fill out a waver of course for saftey purposes and then was tought how to put on a harness and my equipment. It is a small place but it does have lots to do, four seperate parts to rock climb with or without a harness. Many friendly people to help and encourage you to push yourself throughout the place.
