I bought tickets for the upcoming king diamond show, and noticed that the vip was 203 dollars. I immediately purchased them only to have the venue call me and tell me they made a mistake and I have to either pay the difference (over 600 more dollars), swap my tickets, or accept a refund. All they offered was "I'm so sorry". Not a discount, a shirt or some merchandise, or even a drink ticket offered for the upcoming show. Just "I'm sorry we made a mistake and now you get to be highly disappointed". They didn't even have general admission tickets left, so I got stuck with drastically worse by a mile seats.
If you make a mistake, your customers shouldn't be the ones who suffer for it.
EDIT: However, this was apparently a very isolated mistake, and I've now since been contacted by I want to say Kirby?, a director, who personally apologized for the accident that caused this, ensured me that it was meant to be handled differently, and made an offer to make up for the mistake. It really showed TCU Place's commitment to making sure their customers are taken care of and enjoy both the shows they put on and the venue and staff. I have to say I'm kind of blown away by this treatment, especially in an era of Ticketmaster leaving customers in the dust for an extra penny. I'd be foolish not to update this review, I can safely say I'd recommend anyone in the future to enjoy a show...
Read moreThis was my first time purchasing tickets for an event at your venue, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
I purchased my tickets online and selected the option to pick them up at the box office. Because I work during the week, I am not able to make it Monday through Friday. I called multiple times to see if there was an option to have my tickets mailed to me instead, but no one ever answered. Your voicemail states that the box office is open Monday–Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Since I could not reach anyone, I decided to come to the venue on Saturday during your posted hours. However, when I arrived, all the doors were locked. I called again and left a message requesting a callback, but I never received one.
This lack of communication and inaccessibility left me feeling very frustrated and disappointed. As a customer, I expected a smooth and reliable process, especially when your posted hours indicated availability.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements in communication and accessibility for...
Read moreWe went to a concert at TCU last night on nov 2. It was exciting and a bit unnerving attending something like this for the first time in A LONG TIME. The social contract that has been set out before us is to be vaccinated and mask while in attendance. These are the terms we are all familiar with and upon which we buy our tickets. The young women at the door had the most difficult job and they did it superbly. However, too many people in the theatre were unmasked for the whole event. Some didn’t sport a mask for any of it. Drinks are allowed in the theatre ( should they?) so there is some negotiation around that. When I spoke to the event planners they said they would speak to security. Because of the shear number I assumed an announcement would be made rather than approaching people. Nothing was done. This breaks the terms of engagement we all agreed to while working towards a better future. I’m sorry TCU. It will be a long while before I attend another function there. And I want for nothing more than your return to a renewed and positive...
