I really enjoyed the service and the staff who were complying with covid19 protocols. The patrons of the Sandman were not observed to be compliant. I saw not one guess wearing a mask posing a risk to other guests along with staff that worked at keeping the hotel clean and sanitized due their guests. Squamish in general does not seem to think there is still and active pandemic their selfishness and stubborn attitude towards the disease puts health care workers and front line staff working at sandman at increased risk for exposure. If you are a guest staying at one of these beautiful facilities please follow the rules we have for BC. You do not know if you were infected and because of the asymptomatic spread of the virus you are only hurting those who are elderly like your parents and grandparents. You are also increasing gjr risk for other individuals who are immunocompromised in some way. You may be young and strong enough to fight off the symptoms but let me tell you that covid is no joke more is it a hoax. Stop watching YouTube and get your facts from a credible source. Follow the guidelines by making up in doors and washing your hands regularly. Your next, all it takes is for someone you know to be become infected because of your negligence and lack of education on the topic. Talk to your public health care nurses and doctors and please follow BCs recommended protocols to help put halt to our loved ones dying. Even young people are left with lifelong kidney and multi organ failure. You won't hear about this in the cases recovered. Do your part and prevent more illness and death to our grandparents, parents, teachers, nurses, doctors, first responders, and community healthy workers and all other health care professionals that are putting their health and lives on the line for you.
Thank you Samdman for doing such a great job keeping your hotel free from illness and spread. If you could please enforce guests to wear masks in common areas especially the breakfast and lunch room it will not seem so awkward for the ones who are protecting others by doing their part. Our family were the only ones observed wearing masks, wiping down our hands and other things we touched and decided to bring continental breakfast to our room to avoid sitting beside other guests who were not physical distancing at all. Not impressed. Please do something about this before your estaishemmt is the next one to be publicized in media as having a covid out break. Still enjoyed our stay. Staff were amazing. Food was amazing. Rooms were clean though we sanitized our entire room from stop to bottom with cavi spray and cavi wipes along with an industrial grade air purifier to keep our family safe with the knowledge we have.
5 stars from us but there are some definate improvements to make it safe for staff and other guests. Be...
Read moreI was not given the room I had booked well in advance and was not told at all. Just arrived at the room and saw we had been given the accessible suite which is honestly inappropriate since we do not need it and what if someone really did need it and were turned away? There was no bath tub. We were on the ground floor so we got car headlights in the room all night. Bed was very soft and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. We were also told it was a pet friendly hotel but there were no bowls or bed or anything provided like every other pet friendly hotel we have stayed in like the Westin, the Oswego, even the Old Orchard Inn. Other amenities listed online are not accurate such as room service. We couldn't even get cutlery brought to the room, we had to go to the front desk for it. Since the suite was on the corner by an entrance and the suite itself was mostly tile it was extremely loud all night. At one point a dog barked for hours since it was left alone. We were recommended a restaurant and the food was horrible. My husband has food poisoning from it. The front desk person who recommended it actually admitted she had never been there so I assume she just gets paid to send people. Staff was not friendly or welcoming at all. I felt like a criminal the way i was id'd while checking in. Why would i pretend to be someone else and then pay for a room??? I didn't see anyone else get id'd, let alone have their id put up next to their face to make sure it was them. Not sure why I was singled out, perhaps I don't fit the mold of their ideal customer. The vending machine still has Christmas candy in it that expires in November 2018. Yikes. Honestly this place is NOT worth almost 200 dollars per night. We will not be staying...
Read moreMy partner and I found ourselves in a tight spot on the night of December 16th, desperately in need of a place to stay. After trying several other hotels in the area, we were left stranded, as they claimed to have no available rooms. Enter Sandman Squamish, our knight in shining armor!
From the moment we walked into the hotel, the lady at the receptionist desk her name is Gurjit greeted us with warmth and understanding. Despite the late hour (1 AM), she went out of her way to accommodate us, providing the relief we so desperately needed. Her kindness and efficiency were truly a saving grace and set the tone for our stay.
The room exceeded our expectations in every way. Spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed, it provided the perfect haven for us to rest after a long and tiring day. The amenities were top-notch, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
Sandman Squamish not only provided us with a comfortable stay but also demonstrated exceptional customer service, turning what could have been a stressful night into a positive and memorable experience. We are immensely grateful to the entire staff, especially the receptionist who went above and beyond to help us. If you're looking for a hotel that cares about its guests and offers a delightful stay, look no further than Sandman Squamish. Five stars...
