My company provided them with our credit card number, as they have in the past, but when I checked in I was asked for a second credit card. When I pointed out that they were given a credit card number and why we hadn't had this problem in the past, Prabh advised that he hadn't checked me in in the past. I asked to speak with a manager, he told me his is the manager, I asked to speak with the owner, he said he is the owner. When I questioned that, he said that when he's on shift he's the owner, as everything is his responsibility. When I asked why he needed a second credit card, he said that I might break something. Why would I have a party this time, but never in the past? I told him that they should have told us when we booked if the policy had changed, he said he's going by the book. He finally checked me in, I get to the room, turn on the water in the kitchenette (which is older than I am)...nothing, the cold water doesn't turn on, I hang my head in despair, only to see a hole in the carpet the size of a deck of cards. I turn to put my backpack on the chair, the arms look like a dog chewed them. I opened the blinds and saw that 4 or the slats in the air conditioner below are broken. What the heck did he think I was going to break?! Everything was already broken!!!! I called the front desk and told him about the water, he said he'd send someone up. A couple of minutes later, Prabh is at the door. While he's fixing the water, I take the opportunity to point out the deficiencies in the room so that they can't blame me for breaking them, and I ask him what I could have broken in there, as everything is already busted! Will NEVER stay here again. Last time I stayed there it was for 2 or 3 nights of work, the hotel was in full renovation mode, which I didn't know before booking. I asked to be put in a quiet room, as I am sensitive to noise, they put me right next to the elevator on the same floor as a group of guys who kept yelling down the hall to each other. I asked to be moved, which they did. I thought I was in the clear until I was woken up first by the people above me simply moving around, and after finally falling back to sleep, the construction crew showed up before 7am and started working in the hall outside my room, yelling back and forth to each other, and just as I thought they were done and I could get some rest, someone started vacuuming right outside the door, not even 8am!!! Not sure what I was thinking giving them another chance after that, but the joke is clearly on me. WON'T be...

The only reason I gave this review a 2 start was because the room was clean and for the most part renovated. The tub was terrible did not drain properly. The beds were okay to sleep on but very squeaky. Also the TV was very old and actually had a line going across it while on. We really just turned it on to a kids show for my grandson because it was not really watchable. The downfall of this hotel is they have swimming lessons in the pool. We booked this hotel because of the pool and hot tub. We wanted to enjoy it with my Grandson. We were there 2 nights and went swimming at different times and both times they had lessons 2 of the classes had 6 kids. We were told we could use the area of the pool where they were not. I was shocked and advised the lady that we are paying customers at the hotel. She advised you can still use some of the pool. No where on their site to they indicate that swim lessons are done at this pool. I am surprised the Best Western Franchise allows this with out advertising it. We did talk about this on check out not sure if it was the manager. We advised him that this should be advertised on their site and that we had seen other reviews where guests were told they could not go in the pool. He pretty much told us those were lies. He then went on to say due to COVID they had to find other means to keep the hotel running. He did take $20 off a night for us but the room was still $149 plus tax a night. He said you will probably still give me a bad review. I advised no what we will do is provide a suggestion in our review. I was going to give a 3 star but while waiting at the airport we looked up the reviews again and the swimming lesson comments actually went as far back as 2015! So the story about having to add this because of COVID was not truthful. I am all for kids having swimming lessons but Best Western this hotel not advertising this and charging what they do is very poor customer service. Best Western is my go to hotel. I will not stay at this hotel again. I know the response we will get for this review from management will just be we will take this under review. When I read the reviews more closely the ones with swimming lesson comments they have said that for years but they still happen. Likely the reason it is not advertised is because they will have fewer people stay at the hotel. They do allow pets which is awesome but they don't do anything about how much dogs are barking during their stay and it's a lot. Disappointing stay at this...

Staying at the Best Western Peace Inn was an experience that far exceeded my expectations, making my visit to the city unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel genuinely welcome. The hotel staff, led by the incredibly helpful General Manager, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, always available to assist with any needs or inquiries I had.

The Best Western Peace Inn boasts a prime location, nestled in the heart of the city, which provided easy access to major attractions, shopping districts, and an array of fine dining options. Despite its central location, the hotel offered a peaceful retreat from the bustling city outside, with rooms meticulously designed to provide a tranquil and luxurious haven. The attention to detail in the décor was impressive, blending elegance with comfort in a way that made my room feel like a home away from home.

The amenities provided were top-notch, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a serene spa offering a wide range of treatments, and an exquisite outdoor pool area that was a perfect oasis for relaxation. Dining at the hotel was a culinary delight, with the restaurant serving a variety of gourmet cuisines prepared by skilled chefs. Each meal was a testament to the hotel's commitment to quality and excellence.

What truly set the Best Western Peace Inn apart was its dedication to exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered, especially under the leadership of the General Manager, was not only professional but also genuinely friendly and eager to make my stay memorable. Their recommendations for local activities and dining spots added a personal touch to my visit that I greatly appreciated.

In conclusion, my stay at the Best Western Peace Inn was nothing short of spectacular. It provided an unrivaled level of comfort, luxury, and service, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. I would highly recommend the Best Western Peace Inn to anyone visiting the city, whether for business or pleasure, as it promises an experience that is both enriching and...

The location is good, but the hotel is disgusting, or at least the room was that they put us in. My daughter and I came for a weekend trip to Vancouver, and decided to spend the night at this hotel because the location, reviews and price were decent compared to hotels closer to, or in, Vancouver. Parking was awful. We felt lucky that we were able to find a space in their lot. It didn't look like there were any overflow parking options. The reservation email stated two queen beds, but we were put in a room on the top floor with only one bed. We asked to be moved to the room we had reserved, so they put us on the first floor at the end of the hall. When we entered this new room we found a broken security latch, and the TV turned on and loudly playing a sports channel. When we turned back the sheets we discovered that one of the beds had a very large, yellow stain. I called the front desk and was offered new sheets. However, when the sheets were removed we found a matching large, yellow stain on the mattress, itself along with small black specks all around. After we had dealt with the sheets, I went to the bathroom to take a shower., but was unable to because there was a lot of black mold all over the bathroom, and hair on the walls. I again contacted the front desk and was told there were no other rooms, so we ended up checking the other bed and sharing it, but sleep was poor, due to the worry about what else might be in the room and bed. I rigged the latch to hold as best as I could. If it hadn't been so late, we would have left, but there were no other affordable hotels in the area that late. The next morning we got up and out of that room as quickly as possible. I spoke with the man at the front desk, who was very polite, looked at my photos and listened to the issues we dealt with. He refunded a small amount of the room fee, but I felt we should have received half back, at least. Honestly, the entire room seemed like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Next time, we're just going to drive the rest of the way to Vancouver. My family and I will never stay at this hotel again.

This was the worst place we ever stayed at. We checked in June 14 and was given our room. We got settled in and then the toilet was plugged. We decided to go down to the hot tub in case it was something that would fix it self. Of course we get to the hot tub and it’s ice cold. The person at the front desk said we needed to turn the temperature on and give it 30 minutes. We then went to our room and the toilet was still plugged. My husband got a plunger from the front desk but it didn’t work. He spoke to the front desk and they had one room left we could go to. So we packed up our stuff and went to the next room. We put everything down and then I looked under the mattress of the first bed as that is what I always do at any hotel to check for bugs etc. and what do I find is a vacuum sealed bag full of green pills. I took them and went straight to the front desk. I told him I found them under the bed and he said the room was clean. He was looking at my like I was lying. I told him well they are not ours and gave him the bag. I went back to the room and checked under the second mattress and off course more stuff under there. A tray with toe nail clippers, nail file and some thing else along with a bunch of papers. Got on the phone right away and asked the front desk person to come to our room. I showed him what I found and he just stood there. My husband said obviously this room wasn’t cleaned. The male said the room was cleaned and we both said obviously it good enough.and we said well those are not ours either. He just looked at us. He then said he can have the oil cleaned and we can stay or he will refund our money and he wanted an answer now. We told him we would be leaving I would not recommend this hotel at all

Our family used to stay in this hotel when we sold our home as a we transitioning our move to the U.S. Spending a great deal of money at this property. The staff who were awesome as they understood the complexities of a family of 4 with young children living in a hotel. The property was under renovations and one morning I came out to find part of the siding that was propped up against building the day before had fallen on my vehicle, damaging the roof. I was apologized to profusely by the front desk staff and told the repairs to my vehicle would be paid as I assumed a business that prides it self on taking care of its clients would want to do the right thing. Then the excuses started, we will get you a check, we have to talk with the contractor, the owner needs to sign off. The best excuse was when they said you pay for it and we will send a check. I had arranged everything at the Ford dealership auto autobody which happened to be the least expensive, all they had to do was confirm they would pay. That was a year ago and still nothing. It's sad that a hotel that prospered so much from the all the time we spent there and the others that stayed upon our recommendations would treat us like this. We even sent an email to Best Western corporate asking for help and how to resolve the issue but nothing. What they will come to understand is that 1 good compliment generally translates into 10 sales, 1 bad one translates into 1,000 lost sales. Perhaps they will think better the next time they so smugly dismiss a valid claim. Good luck in the future you will need it.
