Birch Haven by the Beach — Hotel in Wasaga Beach

Tick-like bugs are everywhere inside the room and Dishonest owner My family and friends booked two cottage rooms early on July, and found a lot of tick-like bugs inside the room. Despite they changed us a room, still a lot of tick-like bugs everywhere. Charlene is saying " Have I watched the news? This year tick problem is pretty bad". Owner Sam is saying "Tick that carries lyme disease is very low chance (1 out of 5). And there is nothing he can do about it." So we left the place in the middle of night. Here comes the best part, the next day owner sends me a message:" You found a small tiny beetle and decided to check out, even though we told you they were not ticks.." For the whole night, no one mentions they are beetles. You don't have to lie to make you feel better. Then owner also message me:" For the future, please do not book at our resort again." Yes, for sure, hopefully people learned from my lessons and don't book at this resort either. If you aren't bothered by the lousy customer service and tick-like bugs, then go ahead...

My favorite of all places to stay for cottages. The hosts are awesome and are very accomidating. The cottage was clean and tidy.. no smells, no stains. Maintenance on the property is very well upkept. Never have an issue. Ask to have a fire at the main pit and wood is supplied! Excellent for kids as there is a sand box, play park and a nice hunk of land, safely between the cottages and the main house for them to play in. BBQ + gas included. Picnic table and umbrella there a well. Really do not need anything when comin to this place, just personal hygene items, clothing and towels for the beach! I ALWAYS go back to this place. (I have been travelling to Wasaga for 38 years, and my father was born there, and my grandparents were judges in Barrie so roots go deep). They allow you to dribk on property as long as you are civil. This is NOT a place for teenagers to hang...

This is a cleanest cottage that I ever been! And a first time I saw a cottage where owners are not saving every buck even for the small and cheap items. In these cottages they even went beyond and replaced windows, roofs, bathrooms etc. It's not a luxury, but for this price range is the best that you can get. ||Plus location couldn't be better, walking distance to the beach number 3, 4, which is beautiful but not as much crowded and noisy as beach 1 or 2, set in the quite neighborhood, however close to the plaza and grocery store.||Host Elena was very nice and friendly and always there to address any requests from spoiled vacationers.
