We were up in Blue Mountain for the weekend celebrating my son’s 20th birthday. He loves Asian cuisine and chose Thai for his birthday dinner. Thornburi was the first result with good reviews close by so decided to visit. We were extremely glad we did. Food was awesome. Everything that we ordered was delicious. We personally love sweetness in Thai food so it was perfect. My parents thought the food was a bit on the sweet side for their taste but still immensely enjoyed the flavours. Our server was this spunky young lady who was the sweetest, cutest thing and amazing at her job. I did not get her name but it seems like this is her family business. She made everyone feel welcome and comfortable and was great at explaining the menu options. Spring rolls were delicious. If I were to give my opinion, I suggest to have 3 larger spring rolls instead of 6 smaller ones. That way the filling can be enjoyed more. We ordered : #29 Yellow Curry pictured #26 Green Curry pictured #9.1 Pad Thornburi pictured #6 Tom Yum #27 Red Curry (getting this next time!) We will definitely be back hopefully sooner rather than later next time we are up at Blue. All the best!

This is a review of Thonburi Thai Food at their old location at the Blue Mountain Resort. But their food should be just as good at their Wasaga now Collinswood location of #ThonburiThaiFood we started with a warm, luscious #tomKha soup it was yummy, one of my favorite soups. It has Lovely Galangal and lemongrass flavors with Thai Basil, Kaffir Lime, Coconut Milk, Cabbage, and Carrot. The soup didn’t have mushrooms in it which is a plus for my allergy hampered husband. We had A nicely spiced pineapple #redCurry It had lovely sweetness and was accompanied with a great amount of rice. I’m a lover of noodles so we had the house version of #PadThai called PAD THONBURI (aka - Thai Style Pad Thai) Rice noodle, Bean Sprout, Egg, Crushed Peanuts, Green Onion, Thonburi House Sauce which was great. we both enjoyed the local (Blue Mountain) #pearCider from #Ardiel a nice dry cider that complimented the yummy sweet, flavorful, Thai food. The service was great, and very attentive when we were there. Will be back.

This place is truly a hidden gem in the Blue Mountain area. Located in Mountain Springs Resort, it truly deserves a place of its own. The food tastes amazing. From the appetizers to the dessert. We did not want to stop eating. Everything tasted so fresh and flavourful. The restaurant owner is extremely kind and friendly and she goes out of her way to accommodate. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel at home. The restaurant its self is so beautiful inside, there is no music playing so all you hear is conversations and people eating. This is a really nice change from city restaurants. This way you can really be in the moment and focus on talking with the people your with and the food your eating. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I am in Blue Mountain.

Used to be a perfect 5 star thai place years ago... but the quality seems to have gone down lately as some items I order are frequently inconsistent. Two years ago the Khao Soi was the best soup I've had in my entire life... but when I ordered it recently there were many changes that lowered the quality. The fried noodles were changed to something worse, the tofu was changed to something worse, and the broth was majorly lacking flavor compared to the past.

Fried egg noodles bland crispy rice noodles It's gluten free, which is maybe why this was changed... but it's flavor free too. Just have two options.

Big fluffy + crispy chunks of tofu Flat rubbery tofu of disappointment. If you are out of ingredients then don't serve poor substitutions. A customer does not want to be surprised.

Strong spicy and sour broth flavor watered down milky broth flavor. Why did our soup have no flavor?? Do cooks follow a recipe? Did someone think that watered down milky flavor is an improvement?

Not really sure why recipes that were perfect for years are being altered so much... but things that are perfect do not need creative changes.

Thankfully the thai style pad thai is...

I'm extremely surprised that this place got a 4.5 star review. We were there a few weeks ago, the food was pretty disgusting and it's an absolute rip off!

Pad Thai- most disgusting pad Thai I've ever had in my life. It's a plate of plain noodle(not even pad Thai noodle)+hard boiled chicken+bean sprouts, whole plate of white colored stuff mixed together, extremely unappetizing, the cook clearly made no effort.

Vegi and meat dish with fried rice (forgot the name, it was recommended by the staff)- cheap veggies and pork stir fry with soil sauce on top of fried rice- this is not Thai food! I'm positive my 12 year old cousin could make better food than this.

Red curry with shrimp- the shrimp costs $6 which makes the curry dish $20. It's so pathetically small and doesn't even come with rice for this price. It's also not the authentic red curry, my guess is it's from a cheap bag of ready made sauce.

I was there with my in laws from the U.K., as an Asian person I feel embarrassed by the quality of the food. It's clear to me that this place is catered to customers who have not had much experience in Thai food and who may think this is standard...

Anyway, HUGE...
