Please note that the area surrounding this hotel is rather unsavory, with numerous boarded-up storefronts, human waste on the sidewalks, and many loitering individuals. The main entrance lacks locks and remains open around the clock, allowing street access to anyone. The front desk clerk is stationed behind bulletproof glass, and a list of 28 conduct rules is posted in the elevator and on their website. This indicates an effort by the hotel to counteract the challenging neighborhood dynamics, suggesting that the typical guests are not familiar with standard hotel etiquette.||||In the room, the sound of water dripping led us to a bathroom ceiling swollen with water from the room above. The walls bore patches from previous repairs, and despite the room's cleanliness, it showed significant wear. When we pulled back our sheets, there was hair all over the mattress. The neighborhood's condition and the hotel's open-door policy hindered our ability to relax and rest with ease.||||I think that the management has a way to go before advertising their property as family-friendly. ||||Hotel House Rules||You certify that you will use the room only as a place of residence and will not conduct any business of any type in the room or in the hotel property.||There shall be no sales of any controlled substances like tobacco, alcohol, narcotics, firearms, or deadly weapons from the room or anywhere on the hotel property.||You understand and accept that there is extensive CCTV audio and video recording in the hotel premises and grounds for the safety of all occupants and that if asked will need to share with government authorities.||Guest rooms may not be shared with anyone other than those listed with the hotel register. “Hot rooming,” or sharing the room with another guest or guests continuously over a 24-hour cycle, is prohibited.||You may not sublet your room or share it with any other person. Read moreThis hotel will scheme and scam you in any way to get money from you. I booked this hotel as a last resort for 6 nights. I booked through Expedia and then after arriving and staying for 2/6 nights was told I "owed" money because the Expedia pricing was different than the hotel pricing. I didn't pay the "owed" money as I booked based on a price I was told and didn't feel as if I should of had to pay a new price.
When checking in I had a $200 pre-auth which was fine, but later saw another $50 pre-auth in total $250 pre-auth for this 2-star hotel.
While staying at this Hotel, they never closed the front door so its open for anyone to walk in at any time. We never had the room cleaned or checked on the whole duration (6 nights) We asked several times for new towels and the best they could come up with were a few facecloths, and multiple FLOOR towels. Not one full-body towel was given to us. We would lay our full garbage bags outside our door and they would stay there for hours and hours upwards of 12 hours sometimes. We had a man try to come into our room, we had people fighting outside our door, and some staff had no idea how to use their system when they inquired about booking. All of these hiccups and I didn't complain once.
I check out and receive a convenient $50 charge, so I inquire. Assuming it was what I "owed" them. They responded with 2 photos of facecloths that have makeup on them insisting they tried to bleach them and couldn't get the makeup out. Mind you the photos were taken in our hotel room exactly as if they just picked them up and took photos without trying to clean them at all. You expect 2 girls to stay in a hotel room for 6 nights, using the same facecloths provided to not get any dirt or makeup on them? $50 fee for 2 cheap, facecloths.
I wrote an email inquiring about this and stating how crazy it is to charge for something so minor and they chose to ignore it, so now I am here to warn others...
Read moreAwful hotel. I see a lot of responses from the owner about using critique to make changes but I’m experiencing the same issues with my stay. It feels there is no pride in owning this location, and you can feel it from the staff as well. Cold and annoyed from the minute we got here, they don’t seem to understand what it means to be hospitable and are clearly in the wrong line of work. Husband and wife at the front desk seem miserable. Room is extremely dated- 1980s chairs from my grandmothers kitchen are taking up most of the room there’s actually not a lot of room for my suitcase and belongings. Room is incredibly hot, heat does not need to be on at the beginning of august. And to top it off there are no individual temperature controls in the room! So you are at the mercy of whatever temperature the hotel staff believes it should be set at. Hotel advertised as having AC but they don’t - we had to complain about the room temperature for the lady at the front desk to ask for one to be retrieved from storage and then installed in our room- at 9pm! What a joke. My baby couldn’t sleep because it was so hot and there were TWO separate parties going on on our floor. Walls are paper thin I could hear my neighbour plugging in his phone charger and we were woken up 3 times overnight. Horrible sleep- not to mention our kind bed is just two twin beds pushed together. This hotel is embarrassingly cheap. The owner needs to get it together and get some pride for his business that he claims is suitable for families. Nothing about this hotel is family oriented. Needs a major overhaul. Do not stay here! We booked here because everything nice...
