Hotel Atalaia — Hotel in Antofagasta

We stayed in Hotel Atalaia for 3 nights in a superior double room and it has been amazing. The house was renovated last year and converted into a great hotel. The room was spacious with a lovely litte bathroom and a spacious balcony. The breakfast which is included comes with toast bread, eggs, fresh juice, cheese, ham, butter, jam, yoghurt, cereals and freshly brewed coffee. There are bikes in good condition for free use and the beach and a surf school are only a short two minute walk away. We got great information about what to do in and around the city from the hosts and they were really friendly and always there when you had a question. They have a safe place to store the cars too. This hotel is lovely and great value for money. Everything is new, fresh and really clean. The bed very comfy and the bathroom large with excellent shower.|The breakfast is by far the best we have had after 2 months travelling in Chile, fresh fruit juice and coffee + scrambled eggs being prepared for you. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Two brother build up this old two floor house all to new ! Located in a not too busy part of Antofagasta, the hotel is very simply made with good taste all in a chaste surfer world, calmness is just what is needed for some good rest.One minute walk to the Balneario municipal for a quick swim, the bar Nomad (3 floored very chilled bar for beer/cocktails), and very good sea side restaurants !
