The woman that work there are friendly. It's not a stroll to the beach, it's a 10 minute walk and on the return, 20 minutes because you'll walk uphill. Parking is awful. The secure parking lot is 1) not for cars with more than 3 doors and 2) opened with a house key so you'll need to park on the street, open the gate, try to park then lock the gate again. It's also a blind spot parking area. We parked in the open, unsecured parking area for 2 nights with my steering wheel lock. The night woman did let us park in the unofficial side parking area that is fenced in but not locked. ||We had the 2nd floor apartment, street/ocean view. The balcony door had worn, deep cuts that indicate attempted entry by carving into the door. It's not a secure door with no deadbolt or 2nd lock. It's very easy to hop the fence and scale the balcony to try to get into your apartment. I was nervous because of my passport and laptop; there's no safe to lock things away. ||Bed is decent for a few nights. Kitchen has basic equipment; no soap, no cleaning supplies. Bathroom comes with 1 small soap. You'll get 1 towel/person. ||Hot water and heater work well; it's all gas so if you aren't familiar with how the heat units work in Chile be sure to have them show you so you know how to turn on your gas & heat. ||The fruit market and an OK market are within a block. ||It worked perfect for us because we didn't have expectations; if you are looking for comfort + service, this is...
Read moreThe Linda Vista Apart Hotel is located in a side street just off Concon's main street, so it's quite easy to reach. Fenced on-site parking is provided for free, but beware of the tiny parking spots. We had a small compact car and had difficulties parking there.||The guy at the front desk was really helpful and friendly, he showed us our room and how everything works (gas, water etc.).||We had a room on the second floor which was huge, as it could accommodate up to five persons. It had a well-equiped kitchen and a large dining table. It even had two separate bathrooms and a balcony. The hotel itself and the rooms are rather old, so don't expect modern furniture, but they are clean and good value for money.||||You can reach the beach and lots of great restaurants walking for approx. 20 minutes downhill. Some small supermarkets are close to the hotel. Overall, i really liked the location, it's a quite and safe residential area and Valparaiso and Vina del Mare are just half and hour...
Read moreThe place looks nice, (never got to try it). In my case I was not informed there were three floors and no elevator, since one of the people in the group could not climb stairs I asked for a change and the answer was: "yes, but since this was not planned you will have to make the beds yourselves, we move them..." ||Like... what? (I had informed two weeks in advance and that very day we were four...). The girls tried to do their best but a boy who was there got kind of stubborn with one alternative room and unauthorized the two girls that were really trying to help. ||A nightmare! ||Of course I had to pay for that night I never got to spend and left. ||you...
