Hotel Altiplanico Rapa Nui — Hotel in Easter Island

The hotel has a lovely location, perfect for watching the sunset over the sea, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with a good selection of options, freshly cooked omelets, and an amazing tea selection.

However, our experience was let down by a few issues. There were termites in the room, leaving a mess on the bedsheets each day. Despite raising this with staff, no action was taken and no room transfer was offered, which was disappointing. The rooms also lack air conditioning, and WiFi is only available in the reception area — at this price point, both amenities should really be standard, especially considering other hotels on the island offer them.

Overall, while there are positives, improvements are needed to match the expectations...

Charming bungalows set in a beautiful environment surrounded by colorful flowers, trees and an astonishing view of the deep-blue Pacific Ocean. Located almost out of town, 5 minutes away by taxi, is a really good options for those who want to stay in a more private, quiet area, but not too far (for instance Hotel Explora). Staff is really hospitable, welcoming and willing to help with any requirement, from renting a car to checking in your flight.
