Hostal Villanueva — Hotel in La Serena

Owners have zero integrity. Booked this place seven months ahead of time, based on pictures and reviews, knowing that the city would fill up for the 2019 eclipse. The owner cancelled it five weeks before the reservation time, quoting unfortunate “structural problems causing them to close”. He offered a room at a motel in Coquimbo for the same price in exchange, definitely incomparable, leaving us scrambling to find a place in a much more difficult environment. This was a fairly comfy, and clean hostal with good WiFi. The breakfast was very meager, and the coffee was instant. The room gives onto a common corridor, with windows to the inside. There is a small courtyard, and parking is two streets up for one car. The biggest complaint was the noisy staff. They started hollering from 7am with complete disregard for their tired guests. Elegi este lugar porque me dio la impresion de estar limpio y nuevo y asi es efectivamente. Al llegar senti la pieza un poco humeda pero paso rapidamente ya que tienen calefactores y entonces para esta epoca fria es muy util. Muy buena atención, y preocupados por resolver cualquier inconveniente o duda. El desayuno esta bien para el precio que uno paga, y para un tour me dejaron hervir agua para llevar mi termo, en fin, esos detalles en que demuestran que estan disponibles de darte una buena atención.||||La ubicación es muy centrica, estas a 5 minutos de la recova y un dia nos fuimos a avda. del mar caminando y fueron 25 minutos, ademas de estar a una cuadra del jardin japones.
