San Pedro is very expensive and this place was definitely on the more reasonable side. We actually really liked being a bit out of town. The lodge is about a 10 minute walk from the Main Street down a dusty track. If you're walking back at night you need a torch! The rooms are clean and spacious and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. We booked a hike/bike through Canyon de Guatin which was incredible. It was led by Edguado from the hotel who was fun and informative. The walk was challenging and involved lots of river jumping and semi bouldering. The views were great as we cycled back to San Pedro into the sunset. Lodge Tatais also has a pizza 'restaurant' and we ate a delicious pizza there one night. However it's hard to know when it's open and sometimes it doesn't open at all! It would be better if they had a sign saying when they were open! Read moreThis little spot is just out of town (20 minute walk down a dirt road) which meant it was nice and peaceful, although it may be too quiet for some who prefer to be in the throng. It's also a dark walk at night which again some may find intimidating.||The rooms were nice and the views were amazing. The staff were accommodating as well. We were allowed to use the kitchen to prepare our own food which was helpful as San Pedro is quite expensive (compared to Bolivia where we'd come from).||The main thing that let this place down was their own dining facilities. The breakfast was a bit average, and they didn't seem to sell any drinks. There was, in fact, a bar that never seemed to be open.||I'd still recommend it but just be aware of this, as well as the 20 minute...
