We were looking for something not to expensive but nice to spend a couple of days..After checking several places, we found this hostel by chance. It was a good finding. The place is nice, clean and with great service. The owner and help are very kind and willing to help you to decide activities in the area. And because is small you can expect a personal attention. Living within an hour of Santa Cruz,I really enjoy the annual Vendimia wine festival, and for the past three years have stayed at Hostal Casa Familia.||Its a five minute walk to the town center, so no car is necessary.I stay in the upstairs rooms, and they have always been immaculate,with large bathrooms.||The staff at the family run hostal are friendly and helpful.||I hope to be...

The staff here is incredibly generous! They saved us from sleeping on the streets (after another hostel failed to notify us of their closure) by taking us into their home. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to these amazing people. Not only did the staff go above and beyond for us, but the hostel was very clean and close to the city center.
