Hostal Retro House Valparaiso — Hotel in Valparaíso

B-Side hostel is a fairly new hostel just opened up and is an excellent value for money. ||It is spacious, cosy, feels homely, very clean, friendly amazing staff who are extremely helpful and knowledgable. The kitchen was perfect and clean. It also has a balcony.||The hostel is located just a short 5 minute walk from the bus terminal in Valparaiso. We had to carry heavy bags and was not a problem due to the short distance. ||There is a lovely antique and vintage market just a few minutes from the hostel. You can find everything. It was fantastic. ||Everything you require is only short walk away including supermarkets, bank and local bus stops to get around.||The staff were very accomodating and able to communicate in English very well.||There isnt anything i could complain about. ||They have clear wifi signal and able to use throughout the hostel. They also have a computer for you to use if needed.||The breakfast included cereal, yoghurt pots, tea and coffee and sandwich. ||The kitchen is fully equipped including an electric kettle which is handy.||I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at B-Side hostel and i would highly recommend it to anyone.||||Thank you for a lovely...

I stayed here for 1 night in a single ensuite room. The hostel is located within 5 minute walk to the bus terminal, but it is about 15 minute walk to the city's main square and further 10 minutes to the old harbour buildings. The hostel was quiet at time I stayed and my room overlooked the street which wasn't noise. The hostel is in an old building so the ceiling is high and spacious. It is on the 2nd floor of the building.||||The staff was friendly and provided some information on where to take buses and key attractions. My single room is basic with a small clean washroom. There is a sizable common sitting area at the front of the hostel with balcony overlooking the street. Kitchen facilities was available and I made my dinner here. This hostel is gorgeous. It's new and clean and spacious. My husband and I stayed here in a private room with our own bathroom, the rooms are basic but we don't need a lot. We had wifi in our room, they do laundry for you at a cost and breakfast was great. When we stayed it was very quiet and not a lot of people around to be sociable with, there were also families with children staying there. However we were looking for a quiet hostel and had been recommend this place. It isn't right in the heart of everything but we didn't mind walking and getting the buses.
