Hotel Ultramar — Hotel in Valparaíso

The rooms are all quite different. When we checked in we were given a small room,with a view of metal roofs. We upgraded to a large room on third floor. Ensure if you are going to stay, request a room with a view of the port. The deck is stunning, with a great view of the water. Lots of places to sit. Staff were very helpful. No elevator here, but staff will help you carry suitcases. ||This hotel is not for people that can't climb. Valparaiso is such a great city to explore, lots of hills. I would recommend if you have mobility problems to stay lower on the hills. Make sure you take the tours for tips. The hotel staff will tell you about this. If you are a light sleeper take good ear plugs. The dogs bark constantly all night. And an eye mask to block the light. Not sure I would stay here again. Definitely...

This hotel is just like the pictures and the staff were very helpful and made sure we knew where to go and where to steer clear of for safety.||||They also provided instructions for the easier way to walk down and back up from Valparaíso - it is a very hilly place so make sure your legs are ready for it. ||||Alternatively there are taxis and buses and the staff recommend the lines to catch or if you want a bit more control there is uber (we used uber to and from Viña del Mar - was only about 5000 Chilean pesos one way).||||The staff also moved us to a larger room for our second and third night which had an awesome king size bed which was great.||||The deck also has a great view for relaxing and having a tea, coffee or beverage or while having breakfast.||||We would...

The hotel Ultramar are one of the best accommodations possibilieties in Valparaiso! The view on the city (and the sea) is really breathtaking.|Hotel is very modern and very confortable. Maybe small minus is the fact, the hotel has not a lift and you must to use the stairs.|If you have a chance to book biggest rooms (app. 40 m2). This rooms are top! Very large and very comfortable.|Also staff is extremly helpfull. Definitely you must to try Pisco sour from hotel bar. One of the best in the city.
