This was the second time we stayed at CITIGO Sanlitun and we were glad we booked it. My wife and I were staying for only one night. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and they went the extra mile to use a translation app to gap the language barrier. After a smooth registration we were good to go. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for the night, and for being dead center of one of the busiest locations in Beijing, the room was remarkably quite. The room was warm and cozy and the bathroom was very clean. The shower was really impressive and was greatly welcomed after a tiering day.Now for the CONs, The bed however was too soft and unfortunately I didn't had a comfortable night's sleep. The mattress was more of giant pillow than a mattress so it was very soft and didn't hold much shape so it wasn't the best option for getting a good night's sleep. Then also when I booked there was mention of a gift, in my case, wantons. It said in the app it will be available at the hotel during our stay, but alas it was never mentioned nor served. Lastly the breakfast. Well the spread was good compared to many other hotels we have stayed in. Lots of western and local options, however what was appealing to the sight was not however much appealing to the taste buds. The taste was quite bland and the bakery items like bread and croissants were quite cold and obviously a couple of days old. The sausages were not made if meat, but corn and pork dish was very salty. Apart from that we had a good stay, we were able to check out in minutes. It's a convenient hotel at a very convenient location with friendly staff and excellent facilities. Would be staying there again and highly recommend for anyone who's looking for a place to stay while...
Read moreI usually do not like to write negative reviews but also feel the need for the tourists to know the truth and make an informed decision1) location is quite a walk to the nearest subway especially after u are already tired walking the whole day.plus at least 2 line transfers if you want to visit the touristy areas(so additional walking)2Didi does not stop right outside.3)only 1 small grocery nearby with limited choices.no McDonald's or KFC nearby if kids don't want Chinese food. The area is very quiet with a deserted vibe .4)no English speaking staff (asking for an extra towel also becomes difficult via phone.)you have go down to the reception and use translator .5)we were checking in at 4pm .there were no other guests but the lady took more than half hour to check us in and seemed to be in no rush . even left us twice and went to another room!after a 9plus hour flight and a child with us we did not like that6.the room we got was at least a 5 mins brisk walk from the elevator and Im not kidding.it was quite odd.7.the room is extremely small ,smelled of smoke(we had asked for non smoking room)and hardly any space to keep luggage 8.the front staff are not approachable or welcoming or helpful9.U have to queue for laundry as there is only 1 washer and dryer for so many guests .so u have to go many times to check and sometimes another person would start a new load 10.breakfast did not hve western options besides bread(which was not fresh) butter jam.we...
Read more"I recently stayed at the hotel in Beijing for two nights and I must say it was a fantastic experience! The location of the hotel was unbeatable, it was in the heart of the city and just a stone's throw away from the bustling Sanlitun shopping district and the convenient subway stations. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and had a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Although the rooms were small, they were very comfortable and the price was extremely reasonable. The staff were a highlight of my stay, they were extremely helpful and professional, making sure that all of my needs were met. During our stay, it was the Spring Festival, and the hotel went above and beyond by providing us with a delicious boxed breakfast that exceeded my expectations. The bathrooms were spotless and well equipped, including a smart toilet which added an extra level of luxury. The only improvement I would recommend is having some kind of closet or storage space for hanging jackets and clothes. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay...
