base-GONGTI Serviced Apartment — Hotel in Beijing

A must stay while in Beijing. We booked their "Executive Studio" and the room has plenty of storage space for our luggages (2 medium/2 carry-on), a comfortable bed, a spacious kitchen and a nice bathroom. The building complex is very clean and safe and I appreciated the free in-room wifi and house slippers. The in-room washer/dryer combo machine was also a luxury to have (detergent is available in the common laundry room on Floor 1). A shopping center (Yoolee Plaza/Yongli International) is within walking distance and we went there alot for quick eats. While the address is correct, Google Maps is inaccurate on the location.

You can only access the building by going off an alley off Gongrentiyuchang N Rd and drive north and pass the Xingfu Apartments to get there. It is slightly north of the Beijing's Worker's Sports Complex (Stadium) and East of YooLee Plaza/Yongli International. There will be a sign in the alley that will let you know...

I stayed for almost 3 weeks at Base-Sanlitun. The hotel/apartment is great for long-term stay, and very well positioned near the Workers Stadium subway station and the Sanlitun Tai Koo Li malls.The rooms are cleaned daily, and to my surprise the cleaning ladies even change my bedsheets every one or two days. Sometimes they’re not very detail in refreshing the room, so you gotta ask them to refill the soap or provide an extra toilet paper. Otherwise the service is perfect. Oh, they take away the indoor slippers daily and replace it with a new pair! My room looks just like the picture provided. There is a fridge and a washing machine, so you can travel light and wash your clothes regularly :) They don’t provide the detergent so you gotta buy...

Location: Tricky to find the first time (I arrived at night, street lighting wasn't good) however after the first hurdle, it become a breeze. Walking distance to Sanlitun, plenty of local food (close to one of the best Peking Duck restaurants in Beijing), cheap eats, fast food along the same street. Roughly 20 mins walk to Line 10 and Line 2.

Facilities: Free coffee! Great co-working environment. For entertainment there is a pool table, lounge and gym.

Room: I chose a room that was slightly above the standard room size. Very spacious, comfortable and includes a washing machine, kitchen with stove and microwave. If you're a light sleeper please note that sound proofing is poor.
