Lucky Family Hostel — Hotel in Beijing

I stayed at this hostel in 2019, and this was my second visit after staying previously in 2014. We did not hesitate to book the hostel as our accommodation for our visit after staying in 2014. The hostel is centrally located in a quiet Hutong area, with a supermarket close by. It is close to the Metro (Zhangzizhonglu Station) and if you like walking and taking in life as you do so, you can walk to the Lama Temple, Jingshan Park, Forbidden City and Hou Hai Back Lakes/Drum and Bell Towers. Since visiting in 2014, the hostel now offers tasty hot food for breakfast, dinner and lunch, at cheap prices! I did notice that the rooms were not as clean as they were in 2014, and feel that the cleanliness needs to be improved. The bathroom is enclosed by frosted glass inside the bedroom and I would recommend bringing your own toiletries. I was lucky. I stayed in the bunkbeds and my roommates were all quite. This is located in the old part of the city. Plenty of street food and shops to keep you busy. The staff was very helpful and kind. It's not that easy to get to from airport if you have a large luggage. I took the express train to downtown and then a cab. They tend to always give you private cabs but even this is very cheap (around $2 for 20 mins) so don't worry. I couldn't figure out how to get a normal cab even from major hotels... they all use apps to call the cabs like Uber... so best to find someone who can call a cab for you.||||tucked away in an alley -- but if you are looking for more "modern" place, there are plenty of other hotels in other areas that might be more convenient. i dont kidding,it was the worst hostel i've in and i travell almost 6 month here, the bed and the sheets are dirty-they dont change nothing. their washbasin is in the shared room in the room-not in the toilet and not in the shower,horrible,why i need listen to every people who want brush teeth?|the shower and the toilet always smells bad.|i send my laundry from them after i didnt found somethong normal around, its was 18 Y per k-i think its a lot.|they bring it 28 hours later and its comeback wet and smelling so bad,they send it again and i get it the day after in the same position-wet and smells so bad,they didnt try to help me or understand me,or say sorry, just throw the money on me and thats it..|do for yourself favour and dont...
