Ping An Fu — Hotel in Beijing

I had enjoyed this hotel before so I stayed here as well this year. But....when I checked-in around midnight and asked reception to bring more soap, he said he cannot speak English and just said "No". Also when I called reception at night, they did not get the phone. The hotel seemed to have had a renovation but the quality is low-grade and cheapy. From the air conditioner smoke smell came out incessantly. The attendants in the hotel were all very unkind and seemed tired. The breakfast was not something three star hotel can serve. Awful, and bread was dried and no tasty. I had to ask to get coffee cup, spoon, fork, sauce and everything because they were not where they should be. Attendants are not educated and 80% of them were not able to speak in English. Also I got an impression they did not respect guests. Overall, I think even two star is too much for this hotel. Please do not stay...

A lot of people reviewing the hotel maybe expected something different to what we did. This is a mid-range hotel in Beijing. We stayed for a couple of nights in late June. It was hot and there was air conditioning, so that is a big plus. The location however is the absiolute best thing about this place. It is convenient to Ghost Alley, Nanluoxiang Shopping Alley, Temples and because of that we just walked everywhere. ||||If you want to spend your time in a hotel this is not the place for you. ||||Having said that, the BED was the hardest bed that we have EVER slept on (and we have travelled a lot). My feedback for the hotel team is to work on these mattresses. ||||It may also be disconcerting for some to have to go into low ceiling dungeon rooms with no natural light - TOP tip, request a different room to anything on the bottome...

Do not believe any of the negative reviews, I’m sorry if people had a bad experience. Me and my brother is black and the staff treated us like family. The service is top notch and extremely clean. They clean our room everyday we were there. Me and my bro tried plugging up the Xbox and kept blowing the circuit out. Had the maintence guy come in 4am To help. He didn’t have a problem at all. He tried plugging the game system up and couldn’t do it then it exploded on him and he laughed. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Even had the staff FaceTime my parents. They were so friendly man I wished we stayed longer. We was out all day and night walking in and out. Even chilled in the lobby for a couple hours with no complaints.
