I stayed 3 times at the Boyue in the space of about 4 weeks. I had different rooms and different experiences each time. They ranged from 5 star in two of the rooms to 3 star in the purportedly best room on the Club level. ||The first of these was in a regular room. Large, clean, good amenities. The internet was fast and the layout of the room was good. The service was also great.||The second was on the Club Floor. Not quite so good. I was not clear to me whether I had access to the club, and the room itself reeked of smoke. The layouts were also fine and the room, generally had the same advantages of the first room. But downgraded for the smoke.||The third was one of the more unusual hotel rooms... it had no windows and with the closed and locked connecting door, its pretty clearly used to make up a suite if required with the room next to it. But the absence of the window is not so bad. The room is, as a result, one of the darkest and quietest rooms you will ever experience, but it has sufficient light that when you are up, you don't notice the absence of natural light. ||||A comment on service. The desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Due to flight delays, one of my check-ins was at 4 am. Handled smoothly and without an issue. The clerk was young and friendly, although I wonder if he is a fan of "old" U.S. culture as he actually tried to make Michael Jordan jokes, even though 23 was clearly retired before...
Read moreI stayed here since All my top options were fully booked.||The room has tv, wifi, LAN connection, shower and bath, closet and coffee making facility.||It's an out-dated hotel, and the design and interior looks really old. The rooms are big but the bathroom is so small, and the some of the lights/lamps are not functioning.||The Club Lounge is good though, nice choice of wine and hot dishes are also good.||I also found the breakfast selection is not extensive.|The room service is friendly.|But the frontdesk service was REALLY BAD. I asked to book taxi and I need to leave the hotel at 9.30..i told them around 8.30. The guy who spoke to me in English assured I will have taxi. But 915 came, they said still no taxi...until 10am! Wherein im already so late for my appointment..and the English speaking guy left, and all the rest couldn't understand me..and just laugh. I'm already in stress and...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for three nights prior to visiting Shanghai. The room was excellent the bed very comfortable and cleanliness very good. The Hotel has a great swimming pool free for guests for a certain amount of time during the day. Most of the staff could not speak English but as we were there on holiday this added to the fun. All the staff were very helpful and with pointing at pictures and hand gestures we had a great time. The coffee shop on ground floor is very relaxing and the coffee was good (coffee shops hard to find in China). We had a meal in the ground floor restaurant and the food was ok not great but edible. The hotel is a bit far out for Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city but worth taking a tour to see them. Also a great day out to the Great wall of China you can book tours or find a local guide/taxi driver who will accommodate at a very...
