Stey-Wangfujing — Hotel in Beijing

The location was superb. Turn right out of the hotel and you arrive in Wangfujing main shopping street with plenty of shopping centres with restaurants inside. Turn left out of the hotel and you are at Dengshikou tube station and MacDonalds. Ten minutes walk further and you reach Dongsi Station which we used several times to avoid the long interchange between lines. We liked the road from Dengshikou to Dongsi which had several coffee shops and interesting local independent (rather than tourist) shops along it.||As others have pointed out, the access to the hotel is through a closed down restaurant/bar but there is always a security person manning this area so nothing to worry about. ||We enjoyed the communal lounge area and had our morning coffee there. It was also good to take a cold drink from the fridge from time to time. ||The room felt a bit like an upmarket student accommodation with scuffed paintwork to the walls but the microwave and kitchen area more than made up for this. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The room was serviced twice during our week long stay. The cleaners come every three days. ||There was a laundry area and gym in the basement which looked good but we didn’t use those. ||The staff were all very helpful with booking tickets etc. I liked the way you could switch everything off when leaving the room via the app and control the aircon, curtains and lights from your bed using your mobile phone.||The only small downsides were the lack of bar area (shame about the downstairs), lack of USB charger socket and the WiFi was a little shaky occasionally especially at nighttime. ||But all in all this was a wonderful place to stay in and I would stay...

Un hotel verdaderamente maravilloso.|Mención especial para Hao Liu que siempre nos atendió con una sonrisa.|La situación es perfecta, a apenas 400mts de la famosa y comercial calle peatonal Wangfujing, y a apenas 1500mts de la plaza Tiananmen y de la Ciudad Prohibida.|La relación calidad-precio es la mejor que he conocido en todos mis viajes internacionales. En la planta 1 donde está la recepción, hay café y bebidas gaseosas en lata (coca-cola,etc) gratuitas durante todo el día que se pueden consumir en el salón que hay en esa misma planta o bien subirlas a la habitación.|En la habitación hay una nevera muy útil para conservar pequeñas compras que se pueden hacer en los comercios cercanos (hay Seven Eleven y otros comercios a 300mts), y la habitación es espaciosa, tiene un fregadero, hay tazas de desayuno, y tiene una zona de descanso con sillones y una mesilla para poder consumir allí cualquier cosa que se tenga en la nevera. Y como detalle impresionante, hay hasta diez enchufes o mas repartidos por toda la habitación por lo que si tienes varios aparatos de batería recargable, podrás enchufarlos todos a la vez sin necesidad de tener que esperar a que termine de cargarse uno para poder poner a cargar otro, como suele pasar en la mayoría de los hoteles donde sólo encuentras dos o tres enchufes disponibles y uno de ellos siempre está en el baño lo que resulta muy incómodo. En el Stey Wangfujing tienes hasta ocho enchufes repartidos por toda la habitación y dos mas en el baño. Todo lo que hay en la habitación, desde los interruptores hasta el mobiliario minimalista, es moderno y semi nuevo y en perfecto estado de conservación.|No es necesaria ninguna llave ya que tanto la puerta de la planta calle y la de la habitación se abren con un código secreto de usa único para la reserva y habitación que te asignan.|La cama tiene ropa al estilo nórdico, es sin sábanas, sólo un edredón nórdico pero es mas que suficiente, ya que hay calefacción que funciona perfectamente y es regulable desde la misma habitación.|La limpieza de las habitaciones la hacen cada tres días, pero si se prefiere que se haga mas frecuentemente, sólo hay que pedirlo cada día en recepción y hacen la limpieza de forma gratuita todos los días si así se va solicitando.|El desayuno es sólo de un café o té con uno o dos bollos o panes, pero es correcto y muy adecuado para el precio tan económico que tiene.|El personal es súper atento, tanto el sereno como los recepcionistas se preocuparon de todo, al llegar nos ayudaron a cargar las maletas hasta la mismísima puerta de la habitación y al marcharnos nos ayudaron a cargarlas en el maletero del taxi.|Quiero hacer una mención especial a la recepcionista Hao Liu, siempre fue muy simpática y servicial, siempre con una sonrisa en la cara, siempre amable y muy dispuesta a ayudar. Muchas gracias Hao Liu!!!!|En definitiva, Hotel Stey Wangfujing es maravilloso, se merece una calificación perfecta, relación calidad precio buenísima, sin duda repetiría una y mil veces en este hotel....

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here! Location can't be beat so close to a metro stop. We also enjoyed a cafe Wagas right next to the metro entrance for breakfast. Check in was very easy. The staff spoke pretty good English. There was a common living room area with coffee and soda as well as a kitchen you can use. They also had a filtered tap to refill water bottles along with free bottles of water in your room. The rooms were immaculately clean and just as pictured on the website. We really enjoyed having a kitchenette in our rooms. Their rooms are smart! If you get the stey app you can control the lights, blinds, and air conditioning with your phone. The only issues we ran into was wifi not working well (I think this is just normal for China), and the air conditioning not being great. It was very warm in our room and didn't ever really cool off.
