35–40 minutes taxi ride from Chengdu Tianfu Airport Location was not hard to find. Construction happening near the entrance to the hotel. 24 hour reception, that’s a plus, I arrived around 3am and checking in was a breeze. Got one keycard and room only gets powered on by inserting. (Including ac)2 out of 3 elevators working, not an issue until its peak time for workers as the building shares the hotel and office buildings. You may have to wait 5-6 minutes for an elevator. Also, people here are not shy in squeezing in on the elevator for some reason. I was on the 16th floor. My only issue was that the soundproofing is really bad, the cleaning staff room was next to my room so I heard every door slam for almost 2-3 hours daily. It’s April, it gets chilly at night and hot in the morning. The air con remote never went below 26 even when I changed it to 21-22. The air blowing speed actually works, at night in the middle of your sleep you will get cold! Haha The television is a little outdated but who watches television while on vacation?? The outlet and plugs are a huge plus! Having usb to it really helped. Washing clothes was great! It was on the 2nd floor and it was free including detergent. The only nightmare was the dryers. 4 washing machines 2 dryers. The dryers did not dry at all, atleast for me and another person after one hour of only drying sleepwear. So I took them back tot he room and hung them on the hangers (6) provided in the closet. The hotel is next to two pharmacies. The nearest family mart is across the street and you have to take the above head pedestrian walkway over, which is quite a walk.Check out was a breeze. I would...

Room itself had standard amenities and was reasonably clean. AC unit and all lights worked. On the upper floors the closet contained emergency masks in case of a fire. - Bathroom had a Western-style sitting toilet and standing shower. Bathroom was clean and hygienic. Hot and cold water both worked in the bathroom and shower. - Free wifi but the wifi is open and unsecured.- Staff at reception desk were extremely pleasant to speak with and attentive. I told the reception there was a clog preventing water from being drained in the shower in my room and he immediately called maintenance to have the issue resolved. When I returned to my hotel room later that night the drain was unclogged. I communicated with the staff mostly in Chinese but I saw one or two foreign guests entering and exiting the hotel.- Hotel is located within walking distance of the Chunxi shopping area, and a reasonable 10-minute walk away from Line 2 metro station.- Leaving the hotel I saw a lot of dead roaches on the car path but I didn't see any roaches within the hotel itself or in my room.- Hotel has complimentary washing machines and drying machines for free, with free laundry detergent and a steam iron, but only three (very small) washing machines and two equally small drying machines. First come first serve, keep a spare outfit ready if all the machines are being used. Hotel also offers laundry services but it is not free, cost me...

Our Chinese travel guide requested they switch it on in our room as I have medication that has to be refrigerated but they refused to do so. Negotiated that they would store my medication in their hotel refrigerator. The next morning they bought the medication to me but it was not cold. Our tour guide spoke with them about this but they said they put the medication in their refrigerator. My husband demanded that I inspect the refrigerator they were using so I went with our tour guide and their staff member to a room that was an office that had a refrigerator in it and it was cold. I can only presume they got the medication out early and left it sitting somewhere in the breakfast room. I was angry as this medication has to be kept cold at all times and if it goes off because it has not been kept cold I could die. ||The bed was a little softer than the previous hotels we had stayed in.||Fresh bathroom linen every day which was good. 2 complementary bottles of water supplied 550ml each. Buffet breakfast with mostly Chinese food.. Kettle with tea and coffee packets but no milk or sugar. Buffet breakfast with mostly Chinese food.||Would not recommend this hotel until they do and complete...
