Furniture in the room is outdated with the wood surfaces scratched and dented and upholstery very dirty. Blackout curtains worked well to control light. Bathroom small with signs of wear and tear everywhere. |Cafe on 3rd floor just okay for breakfast, but no idea of how to make items listed on western section of the menu. I ordered pasta carbonara and it had mushrooms and black olives in a cream sauce, bit not a hint of bacon as listed on the menu. The staff was polite and I appreciated how earnestly they presented the dish even though it was a very peculiar interpretation of a classic Italian dish. It was freshly made and piping hot. After nearly two weeks in China I just couldn’t look at another rice or soy sauce based dish. |The hotel is very convenient to the pedestrian shopping area so fairly noisy, but not bad in the middle of the night. Liked that it was close to metro stop and walking distance to the museum. |If I was going to open a restaurant in China I would serve nothing but...

I would...

Two twin sized beds plus a rock hard rollaway. ||Lobby is okay but they do not enforce their no smoking signs so, at times it was very uncomfortable. Hallways hot and stuffy and carpet could use a good cleaning.|||Bathroom was extremely small. Lots of mold around the tub. Virtually no counter space. Air conditioning was adequate. Pool and gym area appeared very nice. ||Breakfast buffet was mostly Chinese but they did have an egg station for made to order egg dishes.||WiFi is specific to each room. Once we pushed the plug in more securely we had good Wi-Fi, especially using VPN. Better than any of our other...
