The 8th time I came to Chongqing, the first time I came to VOCO, the whole hotel gave me a feeling of just the right amount of comfort and relaxation, very effective in relieving the fatigue of business travel.

When you come to Chongqing, the view you can't miss must be the river view, and almost every time, you will choose the hotel where you can see the river from the upper floors. At least there is no need to view the river in the midst of the crowds.

VOCO's river view room can see the Jialing River, the hotel's observation deck and lobby can see the confluence of the two rivers, both Jialing and Yangtze. for the business trip, at least there is a good place to work.

But the most surprising thing to me is that I didn't realize that IHG's hotel can also cast the screen, this feature adds a full surprise to this stay. It should be promoted more. Great location- close to Chaotianmen metro exit 4. Just a few minutes walk. It’s easy to find, it’s a tall building just behind the Raffles centre. As you approach there is a Lawson, then an entry to the mall, then entry to the hotel building. Walk straight in, take lifts in first lift bay on left. Lobby on 13th floor. There’s a lookout point just beyond the lobby. The views from the room were great too, 16th floor, 1627. The lifts are efficient and for this hotel only. We got the room we booked and it reflected the photos. Clean and modern. Love the design with the little bird logo. Aspects of the room like auto curtains, different lighting options, different floor textures all add to a pleasant environment. Quiet. Friendly reception and cleaning staff. The room was clean, comfortable bed and linen. A good night’s sleep here. Free mini bar but I would have preferred cold drinks. There was an ice bucket but not sure where to get ice from. Complimentary fruit on arrival is a nice touch. Tv- not really any English options but we weren’t there to watch tv anyway. Gym- we didn’t use, nice views though! Laundry room is free and has 3 washers with detergent and 3 dryers. We didn’t have breakfast here. Lots of food and shops nearby. Great location, walk to sights, shops and food in every direction or take metro. We paid in advance and this hotel did not ask for a deposit which was good. Overall, my stay at your voco Chongqing Chaotianmen was a mixed experience. There were certainly aspects that I appreciated, but there were also areas that left much to be desired.

First the hotel’s newness and modern amenities create a comfortable and contemporary environment for guests. The freshness of the facilities is definitely a plus. Second is the hotel’s location is ideal, making it convenient for us to explore and access nearby attractions. The metro and food court is just right under the hotel.

On the first night the shop underneath my room was doing renovation at night. It significantly disrupted my ability to rest. I made a complaint to the reception and the staff kindly help me moved to the other site of the hotel.

At last, the room services fell short of expectations, particularly in terms of cleanliness and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this had a noticeable impact on the overall comfort and satisfaction of my stay.
