Our recent stay at Ascott Raffles City Chongqing was nothing short of extraordinary. This hotel has truly exceeded our expectations and provided our family with an unforgettable experience.

No elite recognition for Platinum status, late check out till 3pm not awarded as they mentioned it was full. No upgrade either when requested. Was assigned low floor, level 28 and the starting floors was 24.

Came in and found a bunch of hair on the kitchen floor. Some weird brown things on the bath robe in the toilet. Wardrobe door light didn't go off when closed. Bathtub drain hole is difficult to turn and is misaligned causing it to drain when closed.

Rectifications were done when mentioned to the front desk, except the tub drain hole which was iffy.

Breakfast at 9.30am was really crowded and even had to wait to get a seat. The breakfast place is definitely too small for the amount of rooms they have. Food is more towards the south east Asian taste which was good for the elderies. The daily supper porridge is a nice touch.

Location is decent. 10-15 min didi to Jiefangbei and chaotianmen pier is within walking distance.

Fantastic location, right at the iconic Chaotianmen. It is located at the same complex as the huge Raffles City mall, and only a stone's throw away from the famous Hongya Caves and river cruise piers. There is also a metro station here that is well-connected to other lines. In fact, we can see the famous confluence of the two rivers from the balcony right outside the hotel lobby.

When we checked in, we were given a free upgrade. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and the bed mattresses were firm and comfortable, providing a good night's rest after a long day of walking.

The service was excellent throughout and the service staff went the extra mile to help plan our sightseeing itinerary, purchase the cruise tickets and provide local dining options. Definitely a great recommendation for families and first time visitors to Chongqing!
