Gardford International Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

An amazing historical place, dating its link to centuries. In the day I treaded I found myself to be the only foreigner. The young and old were all Chinese nationals. Invoked by the spirit to trekk and jogg. All fresh and happy. It was beautiful experience. The Temples and the scenic location from all dimensions makes you fall in love with the nature. Amazing that in such an huge expanse, i witnessed only one bird. It was a finch which hopped a while and vanished. The fish in the pond were abundant and colorful. I never saw a flick of tiredness on any inhabitant. They all looked fresh and full of life. The younger children were matchless and full of life. It was misty at few places. Although the tour cars are available but I do recommend that spare a day and enjoy the weather by walking. Carry an umbrella as you may confront shower. The temple is worth visiting and the top side approachable from west and east are equally magical. In Guangzhou if an escape from the running systems of world can be secured, I recommend it to be...

I got to the hotel, and surprisingly I found out that it is not where they say it is, the hotel is actually located 5 miles away, I asked the lady in the front desk "why do you write a wrong address?" and she started laughing and she wasn't helpful at all!!!||Later that night, I realized that the safe in our room doesn't work, I called the front desk, and for ten minutes i tried to explain to her that it doesn't work, apperantly she didn't know English at all, and she just keps saying " the safe is roken" so I didn't have a safe.||The day after that, I saw an attendant passing by the hall way, I asked him if he can take a look at the safe, and "abra calabria" it was open and working.||That is just a sample of the bed service in this hotel, the staff is not friendly most of them do not understand basic words in English.. First of all,the hotel's name is Gardford Hotel and not Grandford Hotel.||Stayed in the hotel at the time of Canton Fair and booked the hotel from ctrip.com where it claims to be a 4 star.||Guys,let me tell you,it is not even a 2 star hotel. It is a very old hotel with poor maintenance.The checkin took approximately 1 hour.Nobody at the front desk knew English except one lady who helped us in our entire 3 day stay.I appreciate her effort.The rooms are pathetic and not clean.The sofas are old and worn out.||I am an Indian and a pure vegetarian.In the breakfast buffer,I could not have anything as there is nothing vegetarian except a Wheat bread and some fruits.I survived on having Indian food near Dong Yue hotel.The canton fair ground is about 20 minutes drive from the hotel.||Positives||The hotel is near a taxi stand and you can get a taxi easily.||Wi-fi is...
