Yuexiu Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

We stayed 23-28 September at Yuexiu Hotel Guangzhou where we had our worldwide partners conference. Carol Chan, MICE Manager handled our event and we can only compliment her for her dedicated and professional service.| |The property was newly refurbished claimed to re-opened in August 2023. The hotel is located within YUEXIU district and very close to many tourists’ attraction such as BEIJING ROAD WALKING STREET and interestingly, across the road a Michelin restaurant; BEI YUAN amongst others must visit spot. The area is very safe to walk out alone (our delegates come from countries who does not speak Chinese and they managed to walk alone in the park opposite the hotel alone without encountering any issue).| |As host of the event and Diamond member of HHonor Hilton, I was upgraded to suite. Rooms are modern and beautifully furnished with kitchenette & washing machine & dryer. Our guests were delighted as these are useful for a week-long stay. Moreover, items used are of high quality with very comfortable bedding, linens, pillows etc. Housekeeper don’t come to the room if you put DND but would put a card to say they will come back later. I must compliment the housekeeper on 18th floor where I was put up. She was very low profile but when I checked walking to my room where I met her along the hallway, she greeted me “welcome to Yuexiu hotel and thank you for staying with us”. Never have I experience such warm welcome note from a housekeeper.| |During our conference, Carol Chan went into details and follow up with our Admin staff making sure things were done as planned. We really appreciate her staying up late to help our team and coming early morning to monitor each day conference. Location. Situated in a local community area, the surroundings provide a pleasant feel of daily life in Guangzhou. Diagonally across the road, is Yuexiu Park where we could go for a nice leisurely walk after dinner. One morning, we decided to check out more of the area and took a walk down Xiaobei Road to discover that Beijing Road was not far and walked all the way there in less than an hour. Except for a road intersection, most of the passage was tree lined making the walk pleasant. ||Room. Our room was well fitted for a long-term stay had we wanted. Lots of storage space with a mini pantry and washing machine. Toilet and shower area had separate spacious cubicles. The room was therefore well sized with comfortable beds. It was excellent.||The most important, the Service. It was our first time in Guangzhou and we needed some guidance. Concierge Steven and customer service staff Eric provided that much needed guidance with patience and were detailed in how to get to where we wanted to go with very useful recommendations on sequencing our outing. Trista at the front desk was super when my wife needed some help with her Alipay. Trista was patient as she guided and helped my wife resolved her problem. All three service staff made our day and enhanced our experience and wonderful stay at the hotel. ||Xiaobei Station is about ten minutes' walk away. While not exactly at the doorstep of the hotel, the convenience of taxis and Didi made commuting to and from the hotel easy. We will certainly stay there again on our next visit.||We had breakfast there one morning and felt that the coffee provided could be better. Very pleasant stay at 越秀宾馆. Would like to express special thanks to Rida and Steven Huang. First trip to GZ, bring my elderly mother and sister. Upon receiving my special request for room nearer to lift access to convenient my mom and consideration to upgrade bigger room upon arrival, Rida recommended and offered to upgrade us to suite with living room. I am glad I took on Rida recommendation, as it was indeed a comfortable and cosy area for rest and relax. Also, to thank Steven Huang, who has helped to arrange for a driver to pick us up at 潮汕train station to 汕头。 this was a last-minute arrangement, and I am thankful that Steven managed to turn around the arrangement on short notice. It was a pleasant day trip to shantou. my mom was happy to have visited the 汕头老乡speaking native teowchew with local old folks and tried local 汕头 food. That brought her fond memories. Steven had also extended his help to recommend us of eating places convenient to our day plan and helped to make reservations. Without Steven extended helps (beyond his official work hour) , it would have been challenging for me to manage this special Gz-ST trip for my mom and sis.
