My husband and I really enjoyed our recent 1 night stay here.||Check-in was seamless, straight forward and quick. The lady who checked us in did her best to speak English to help us out, which was a lovely touch, but using the phone translator we were all able to communicate and have various questions answered (breakfast times, airport transfers, etc.).||The room itself was lovely, nice and spacious in the bedroom area in particular. The bathroom was a little small for 2 people, but you’re rarely ever in there at the same time so we found that completely fine. The room was clean with complimentary water and tea/coffee sachets provided in the room with both cup and saucer and mugs (which seems quite rare for China), perfect for making coffee! There was also a small mini bar, a beer and soft drink available for only RMB 10.||The room also had shower items (shampoo, conditioner and body wash), amenities (toothbrush, toothpaste and body lotion) a hair dryer and tv (not that we used it).||The bed itself was really very comfortable, not at all hard like some of the other hotels we stayed at in China, which was such a relief and absolutely massive! The shower was also really good, the pressure was great and easy to adjust the temperature.||The wifi worked really well and fast during our stay and connecting to the network was simple.||Breakfast was included in our stay for our booking, but it must not be for all, it can also be added for RMB 98 per person (starting from 6:00am). There were lots of options, both Western and Chinese, but I wouldn’t pay separately for the breakfast if it wasn’t already included, especially considering the higher price point than many others we experienced in China. They range of hot food included eggs (cooked your way at a station, omelette, scrambled or fried), bacon, sausages, rice, vermicelli noodles, congee, oatmeal, glutinous rice balls, some vegetables (cabbage, tomato and mushrooms), some steamed buns, a cooked noodle station and tofu pudding. The cold options included garden salad, a small cold meat and cheese selection, fruit (watermelon, melon, pineapple, peach), cereal (corn flakes, all bran and oat clusters), sliced breads and English muffins, rolls, yoghurt, and mini muffins. There are also juices (multiple types and freshly squeezed available), tea and coffee (percolated and machine).||Overall we had a really pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking to stay in Hangzhou, we only wished we had stayed in Hangzhou and this hotel for more...
Read moreNice place to stay. Good location, only about 20 minutes by taxi to the train station and 10 minute walk to West lake with lots of shops along the way. The hotel was slightly dated but still modern enough. The gym not particularly good but if you needed a work out you could do a little. It did have some cardio equipment. The WiFi was average. I had lots of drop outs. Didn't use the restaurant so can't comment. They have a coffee shop in the lobby which does lousy coffee but pretty standard for china. No door man around the entrance so getting a taxi can mean walking down to the road. With luggage, that's not so great. The rooms I thought we fine. A little child I thought and the thermostat is just a dummy, any user change did not change the room temperature. The both room is a stumbling point. Very small and awkward. The door swings in front of the shower door the toilet right in the middle. For 1 person it's fine. The bedroom is fine in size, they should have made this smaller and the bathroom bigger. Big shower however. All and all I'd definitely stay here again but if I went back id probably prefer to try somewhere different to see if...
