Overall (4/5) I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for my quarantine and I would recommend this hotel to my friends. It has almost everything you need for a comfortable quarantine stay. The biggest plus of this hotel were the hotel staff, cleanliness, room comfort, delivery options, and amenities needed for a 2 week stay. The minor drawbacks (which are manageable) would be bad food, bit slow internet and no view. See below for my detailed review!

Cleanliness (5/5) bathroom is super clean bedsheets were fine surfaces were dust-free no mold/weird smell

Food (1/5) Delivery of food from outside is very quick to the door Hotel staff calls everyday to ask for meal selection Limit choice of two items per meal time Food is garbage. I tried for the first couple of days but it tasted bad and very oily. I suggest ordering food outside and that is what I did for the duration of my stay.

Room and space (4/5) You pay for what you get. However, in this case I paid around 9.6k for my 2 weeks stay and I was pleasantly surprised at the space in the room Bathroom is spacious too Beds are movable in the room which makes space for exercising USB connections nearby the bed Dark curtains Light switches nearby the beds Notable furniture provided Big TV (around 42 inch) Kettle Mini fridge Has cabinets for extra storage Has wardrobe Two bins Lounge chair "desk" chair Hotel walls were very thick. I couldn't hear the other rooms at all. controllable AC temperature No view at all (just residential blocks across from me) Bathroom extraction fan when switched on was super noisy

Bed (4/5) Good enough mattress I was at the back of the building and was very quiet

Staff (5/5) staff were very friendly! staff were quick to replenish any amenities

Other things (4/5) Able to choose type of pillow to sleep on Amenities covered (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shaving kit, tissue, water, tooth sticks, new bedsheet covers) Slow internet. I was getting around 4Mbps and sometimes my YouTube video would downgrade to low quality. No laundry service (but this is the same in all quarantine hotels) No exercise equipment provided by hotel HDMI cable of TV kept flickering (a...

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise.||When we arrived we were told to go to the 1st floor with all of our bags to check in, we used the lift to get there but once we got there we were told to go back down to the ground floor with our bags and leave them there and come back at 15.00 to check in.||When we got to our room we were very disappointed. We were there for 2 nights and found that there would be no service in our room during our stay.||We were left 2 tea bags, 2 sachets of coffee and sugar and creamer. When we asked at the front desk for more we were told that we would need to buy this from the shop across the road.||The floor in the room was very lumpy, like the concrete had started to disintegrate, it was covered in a very marked and dirty carpet.||The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and there was black mould in the runners. We felt like we had to clean this before we could use it.||The furniture looked like it was very old, it was all marked and scuffed.||The mattress topper was very lumpy and didn’t stay on the bed.||When we tried to speak to someone at the front desk they made out that they couldn’t understand what we were saying, which was very different from when we checked in.||This hotel isn’t very centrally located, for this reason they had a shuttled bus which ran to the nearest MTR (train) station every 30 minutes.||We were very disappointed in our stay there and unfortunately we don’t feel like we could recommend this hotel.||The hotel was booked by our travel agent and we were advised that it was a 4 star hotel, in our opinion this is definitely not a...

Having previously stayed in this hotel several times a year from birth to 2017, my first visit in 2024 after COVID made me realise the place really isn't the same anymore.||Checkin:|When I was checking in at 2am, I was hurriedly chased to enter my pin code - despite asking the staff member (Gene Fang) to calm down and that I needed a few minutes to transfer the correct funds to the correct card. ||It was a far cry from the previous relaxing experiences I've had getting checked in on the 17th floor.||Reception:|I also received a hold charge prior to my stay, which following an email it was confirmed to me that this amount would be deducted from the total booking fee. When this did not happen when I checked in, I had to waste time to confirm with the reception staff myself. They did not seem helpful and made me seem like I was dumb.||Moreover, when requesting late checkout and asking if I could get for cheaper due to being a gold rewards member , I was told no. After pressing the issue the staff member called her manager and said the customer is being annoying. Only then I got a cheaper price - following an insult.||Concierge:|No one says hello or smiles! Gone are the days where they wore suits and had bell boys! No service with a smile anymore.||Lifts:|Shame that the escalators are not running from G to the Lobby on floor 1 too, which creates significant traffic for the four lifts which do require some maintenance. ||All in all, it was nostalgic to return but the hotel is a shadow of itself. No shuttle to TST, no SipSipBar, no club floor and no...

5 stars is not proper, I would say this is 3.7 overall as it's a fine hotel for its category and pricing. Not Luxury but good enough for few days or even my 21 days quarantine. Hotel service is fast and kind, would give a 5. Food for quarantine its just ok, diverse enough to not repeat menu in several days, quality acceptable and enough amount. Daily options for menus are 2 for breakfast and 3 main dishes to choose for lunch and dinner. Side veggies, 🍲 for most of the menus. Not much for a vegetarian diet but my guess is that could be arranged...would give a 3.7 point on food. Room size it around 22 sq m, carpet looks old and not my cup of tea. Lighting is above average giving well illuminated room. During Covid quarantine stays you could request to unlock the window which is quite good to have fresh air every day, specially in February that is not that hot outside. Views are nothing fancy nor interesting but also quite road so not much noise. Hotel Internet is not good at all, lucky you if you can connect and speed is very low during normal hours. Bed is confortable and queen size. Good number of outlets, table its fine but not intended for real work for long hours. selection of TV is good enough with some international channels 3 National Geographic alike channels, 2 financial channels like Bloomberg, Australian CNA, British BBC general news and Chinese CGTN, plus local channels. Bathroom it's just fine too, comfortable size for the shower, good pressure and temperature, enough space to put several personal travel stuff.

What a dump! AVOID staying here! So obvious that most recent reviews are fake. Don't believe in any recent pictures posted that show nice clean rooms. See my pictures for actual current conditions, it's disgusting! The place has decayed to a state that nothing is being maintained anymore! Last time I stayed here in 2017 it was decent and pleasant, definitely not in 2024! Examples: 1. Escalators between the ground and first floor are no longer in service and permanently blocked by rows of planters. 2. Water dripping from ceiling in the lobby where guests enter. 3. Wall papers are peeled off everywhere. 4. I booked a 10 days stay and I was told at check in that there will be no regular room service and I will have to press 7 on the phone if I need anything. Many other deficiencies that will be a waste of time for you to read them all. It's definitely not a 4-star hotel as advertised. If possible, negative star should apply! Something happened and they let it decay until everything breaks down. I believe this place will be shut or even demolished soon enough! R.I.P. Metropark Kowloon.
