ibis Styles Kunming Nanping Hotel — Hotel in Kunming

At first it was a little confusing because the hotel’s lobby located at 6th floor. The english is not so good (as usual) but the communication can be done via translator. The front desk are very helpful and will try their best to communicate despite the language barrier. The room is clean, good view. I had my friend booking with no windows room and it’s actually decent too. They actually have windows just that it faced inside the building. Not bad and not as claustrophobic as i thought it would.It’s located along ninping street, although it’s felt like on the end side of the road. So you need to walk quite a bit yo the centre side of the road.The gym is very basic probably just 3 equipments at level 6. The laundry is also at level 6. In general i would recommend. Ibis style hotel really accommodating us well👍🏻They're very responsive (make sure you have WeChat) with our questions and requestSo we arrived passed midnight. And we ordered food delivery via * app and had them sent to the hotel before our arrival. The receptionist was so nice to help us with the address details and instructions (the app in Chinese obviously).The next day, we woke up late (its a long journey and we arrived late) so we asked for late check out and they kindly let us stayed until 1pm. Second time staying here for our 1 week trip, as we were flying back from Kunming. Room assigned was slightly smaller than our previous, which makes movement slightly less convenient, nevertheless still rather big compared to others. There was also a smell in the room this time round. Not sure if we got a room down grade this time, or upgrade previous time. Front desk was open 24h, so checking out at 4plus am was smooth. When we checked in, front desk said they could pack us some breakfast (since we are missing the free breakfast) as we were checking out earlier. But upon check out they didn't seem to remember, and we were running late, so we did not ask for it. All else is good...
