Best hotel in Nanjing! This is our second time at Central Hotel (we also stayed here back in 2019). Both of our stays have been fantastic. The hotel's location is great, it's only a few minutes walk to the Xinjiekou (新街口) metro station where you can then go straight to Mingxiaoling scenic area (明孝陵景区)and Mochouhu park (莫愁湖公园)via metro line 2 or Zhonghuamen Gate (中华门)and Fuzimiao (夫子庙)via metro line 1. You can also go to Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Area (南京牛首山文化旅游区) by taking metro line 1 to Tianlongsi metro station (天隆寺地铁站) and then take the 712 or 755 bus to the Niushoushan bus stop. The hotel's location in Xinjiekou also makes it a convenient spot to go shopping, as there are many malls and restaurants within walking distance. We also had a great experience with the hotel's service. The staff were all courteous and friendly. They were able to assist us with all our needs in a prompt and helpful manner. For example, we felt our AC wasn't strong enough, so we called the front desk (the AC works properly, it's just that we are used to cooler temperatures indoors when living in the United States). Ms. Meijuan Wang, the Housekeeping Supervisor, and a technician immediately assisted us and resolved our request. Ms. Meijuan Wang also sent us a very helpful brochure with all the best spots in Nanjing. Thanks to this, we learned about Fengfu Road (丰富路)and enjoyed a lot of delicious street food there. We also had breakfast in the hotel twice during our stay - we initially didn't book breakfast when reserving the room on Trip.com, but we gave it a try and found it quite nice and decided to have breakfast at the hotel again the following day. There's a variety of foods to choose from, and the breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet style with multiple Nanjing local cuisine. Overall, we loved our stay in this beautiful and well-maintained hotel and will definitely...
Read moreAfter staying in the rm for the night, We thot the room was warm. The noise from the outside which was the interior of the hotel was comin in and made sleeping difficult especially in the mornin when they prepare breakfast with the clanking of the pots n pans. We requested for a change and Xie the supervisor on the 9th floor accommodated us immediately and helping us to another room the next day. She even brought us a therapeutic ioniser to make the room more pleasant hopin we would be comfortable. This time the rm was facin outside and as we blasted the hotair to maximium ( silly me as we came from a humid country, we thot it was aircon !) we opened the window to let the icy wind comes in. But being a light sleeper my wife is, this time the noise from the traffic was worse to her and we thot we better take back the first room as by now, the chambermaid Xhi thought us how to use the hot air control. We told Xhi our request for a change back n hope she would convey to the supervisor Xie. We were very apologetic of cse. The next day, Xie, intended to make our stay comfortable, upgraded our room to a bigger room ! My gosh. We thot we would need to pay for the upgrade ( we were preparing to pay without complaining) and asked for the cost. She has none of it and insisted that we dont have to pay n it was complimentay for us!! My my. Where in the world could you find such fantastic service personnel like Xie and Xhi? The next time i go back to Nanjing, this would def be my...
Read moreMy husband and I had an amazing stay at Nanjing Central Hotel (Room 576, from 30 July to 1 August). Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the Executive Vice General Manager, Mr. Charles Hao. We didn't know he was the GM until he introduced himself after personally leading us to our room. He was humble, friendly, and lovely to chat with. He even gave us an upgrade and assigned us a newly renovated room at no extra charge. We are so grateful for such warm hospitality. The room was perfect. It was extremely clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The air conditioning was cool, the shower pressure was good, the bed was comfortable, and the smart TV was even bigger than the one we had at home! Best of all, we met sweet Pan Na, the housekeeping manager in charge of our room, who presented us with two cute animal towels. On our departure day, the hotel porter not only helped us with our heavy luggage but also protected my head with his hand as I entered the taxi. Such a gentleman! All in all, the service here is really top-notch, and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone. We will definitely return the next time we...
